LEGO Black Friday 2026 UK: sets to watch and how to check the price

Black Friday is much more fun when you already know which LEGO box you're hoping to find. Maybe it's the Polaroid camera that ejects a little photo, a Wildflower Bouquet to arrange, or the McLaren P1 for someone who loves a huge car build. In the UK, Black Friday 2026 falls on 27 November, with Cyber Monday on 30 November.

I've put five exact sets on my watchlist, from a small retro display to a serious Technic project. Pick the one you'd enjoy making or giving, save its set number, and see what it costs now. When the sale arrives, you'll know whether that exciting-looking price is actually worth jumping on.

Start with the person, then look for the deal

If you only know that someone likes LEGO, begin with the adult LEGO guide. It sorts the choice by the thing that actually decides whether the present works: what they like, how much room they have and whether they want a relaxing display project or a build with moving parts.

The LEGO Technic guide is the better route for a car or engineering fan. For a calmer present that can live on a shelf, compare the Botanicals and Architecture gift guide. Black Friday can reduce the price, but it cannot make the wrong set fit someone’s interests or their flat.

The five sets I would put on the list

For a camera lover: Polaroid OneStep SX-70 Camera (21345)

This is the safest gift here when you know the recipient likes cameras, retro design or objects with a small mechanical trick. The 516-piece Ideas set builds a Polaroid OneStep SX-70 replica with a viewfinder, colour spectrum, exposure dial, a brick-built film pack and three illustrated photographs. Pressing the red shutter button ejects a photo, so there is a satisfying bit of interaction after the build.

Check the current status of set 21345 before waiting for a sale. A Retiring soon label is not a prediction of a Black Friday discount. If the set reaches your chosen price before 27 November, there is a reasonable case for buying it rather than waiting for an offer that may never appear. It is still a display model, not a working instant camera, so it suits a design-minded recipient more than someone who wants new film.

For a flower lover with a vase: Wildflower Bouquet (10313)

Wildflower Bouquet is the most flexible display gift in the shortlist. It has 939 pieces and eight species of brick-built wildflowers, with 16 adjustable stems so the finished arrangement can be changed rather than built once and forgotten.

There is one practical catch: the vase is not included. The tallest larkspur is over 47cm, so check the recipient has a suitable vase and enough height on the shelf. That makes this a lovely choice for someone who already enjoys flowers and home decoration, and a slightly awkward one for a small desk with no spare container.

In Amazon UK reviews of the exact Wildflower Bouquet 10313, UK buyers describe giving it as a present and displaying the finished stems in a vase; one notes that the vase is separate. That makes the display container worth checking before you buy a discounted box for somebody else.

For the art and design person: Japanese Cherry Blossom Landscape (31218)

This LEGO Art set is a better fit for someone who wants the finished object to look like wall art. Its 1,892 pieces form a Japanese landscape with Mount Fuji, a teahouse, cranes, blossom and three types of tree. The black shadow-box frame can be mounted on a wall or stood on a flat surface.

The finished piece is about 39cm high, 35cm wide and 6cm deep. Measure the intended space before buying: the shallow depth helps, but the width still makes this a considered present rather than an impulse stocking filler.

For a traveller or architecture fan: Trevi Fountain (21062)

Trevi Fountain gives the architecture range a substantial project. The 1,880-piece model recreates the Palazzo Poli facade, the fountain’s sculptures, hippocampi and Tritons, plus the smaller Lovers’ Fountain. It measures about 25cm high, 38cm wide and 18cm deep.

This is the set I would choose for someone who likes places, history and a model that rewards looking closely after it is finished. It is also the point where the recipient’s shelf matters: the depth is more substantial than the product photograph suggests.

For the car or engineering obsessive: McLaren P1 (42172)

The McLaren P1 is the big-ticket option: a 3,893-piece, 1:8 scale Technic model. The build includes a seven-speed gearbox with a shifter drum, suspension, a V8 piston engine, adjustable rear wing and butterfly-style doors. The finished car is about 59cm long, 25cm wide and 14cm high.

It is a gift for someone who wants the build itself to be the event and has somewhere to display a large model. It is too substantial a purchase for a speculative present. I would only put it in the basket when the recipient has clearly signalled that this is their kind of project and the delivered price has been checked.

How to check a real LEGO Black Friday saving

A red percentage is the last part of the decision. I would check the following in this order.

1. Save the exact set number. Search for 21345, 10313, 31218, 21062 or 42172 rather than only searching for the name. LEGO names can be similar across years and themes; the set number is the cleanest way to avoid comparing a different edition, bundle or retired model.

1. Write down the baseline price and date. The LEGO UK product page gives you the manufacturer’s current list price and availability. Keep the page, the set number and the date together. LEGO’s delivery terms also matter. A third-party retailer can have a different delivery threshold, so compare the basket total and the arrival date rather than the sticker price.

1. Check more than the RRP. Brick Sleuth’s UK price comparison shows set-specific UK retailer prices and price history, with optional price alerts. Confirm the live price and delivery cost with the retailer before buying. Brickset’s set database is useful for confirming the set identity and its UK retail data. Use a price tracker as evidence of what the set has actually been offered for, not as a reason to buy a set you did not want.

1. Use price per piece as a clue, not a verdict. Brickset explains that the measure is handy for comparison but can be distorted by large, electrical or specialised pieces. That matters here: the McLaren’s gearbox and display engineering are part of what you are paying for, while the bouquet’s stems and the Art set’s frame change the comparison.

1. Check the exact seller, stock and returns. A sale page can move you to a marketplace seller or show a price that excludes delivery. Confirm that the box is new, the seller is identified, the UK delivery date works for the gift and the returns policy suits the purchase. If the set is marked Retiring soon, do not let that label push you into an inflated price after stock disappears.

1. Ask what the discount is compared with. UK ASA and CAP guidance on promotional savings claims says a reference price should represent a genuine established usual selling price. The guidance says pricing history, duration and sales data matter and notes that at least three months of pricing history may be needed to assess a usual selling price. For a LEGO deal, a real saving is the exact delivered price against a recent history, not simply a percentage against a crossed-out RRP.

Count points, gifts and codes honestly

A LEGO.com price is not the whole comparison. In the UK, Insiders members earn eight points for every £1 spent, and 800 points can be redeemed for £5 off a later purchase. That is useful if you will buy from LEGO again, but it does not reduce today's checkout total. A gift with purchase counts only when the exact order qualifies, the gift is available and the recipient would want it.

Check the current LEGO UK promotions and their terms before adding the gift to your mental savings. Some offers exclude other discounts or vouchers. For a retailer code, confirm it applies to the exact set number, survives checkout and beats the best ordinary delivered price you can find. A code that fails at checkout is not a saving.

When to check the list

• Now: pick the set, save the number and decide your ceiling price.
• Early November: check whether the retailer has changed the price or announced a qualifying promotion. The Which? Black Friday guide notes that many retailers begin offers before the Friday itself.
• Friday 27 November to Monday 30 November: compare the exact set number, stock, delivery and returns before you pay. If the price reaches your ceiling on Friday, there is no prize for waiting until Cyber Monday.
• Before Christmas: check the delivery estimate again. A cheap set that arrives after the present date is not a useful bargain.
