LEGO Botanicals or Architecture: which makes the better adult gift?

A little tree that comes with its own pot, or flowers someone can arrange just how they like? I can see why LEGO Botanicals makes such a nice gift. Architecture is a different sort of lovely: the London skyline or Trevi Fountain can remind someone of a place they care about.

I'd choose the Japanese Red Maple when I want a plant gift that can go straight on a shelf, and the Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet for someone who already owns a vase and enjoys arranging things. A real price check for the Japanese Red Maple (24 September 2026)

LEGO lists set 10348 at £54.99; Argos lists the same set at £40. That is a £14.99 difference between the displayed item prices on the date checked. Argos asks for a postcode before confirming stock and delivery or collection, so check the delivered total before treating £40 as the final cost.

LEGO also lists 440 Insiders points with this purchase. In the UK, 800 points can be redeemed for a £5 discount on a later order. I would choose the lower cash price if Argos can fulfil the order at a lower total and in time. I would pay LEGO's price only if its delivery or a qualifying gift genuinely makes that order better for this recipient. This is a dated example, not a live-price promise: check both retailers again when you buy.

Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet 10342: the one for an existing vase and a bit of arranging

Pretty Pink Flower Bouquet contains 749 pieces and 15 adjustable stems, including daisies, cornflowers, eucalyptus, elderflowers, roses, ranunculus, cymbidium orchids, a waterlily dahlia and a campanula. That missing vase changes the recommendation. I would give it to somebody who already displays flowers, enjoys moving pieces around and has a container that can take tall stems. Brickset's review of the same set praises the individual flowers but notes that heavy flowerheads can make stems bend and that arranging the full bouquet takes some thought.
