UK club season 2026: the underground parties to book

The White Hotel’s final autumn gives the 2026 UK club season a strange urgency: one room is disappearing while new parties and spaces are giving people reasons to travel. There are choices beyond another London Saturday, from a new three-room club in Leeds to Animal Farm’s techno run in Glasgow.

What makes this season is how specific the bookings are. James Blake going back-to-back with Joy Orbison. Theo Parrish getting The White Hotel from start to finish. Ricardo Villalobos and Craig Richards on fabric's birthday bill. Rupture putting a theatre piece in front of a jungle night. Those aren't just names on a poster. They're the kind of thing you build a whole weekend around.

What is the UK club season?

A club night is a party built around DJs or live electronic acts, usually running from late evening into the small hours and sometimes well into the next day. The club season is the autumn run, from September to December, when promoters and venues put on their biggest programmes before the new year. The parties here are spread across five cities: London, Manchester and Salford, Bristol, Glasgow and Leeds. Some fill warehouses; others matter because of the promoter, the room or the music that comes through it.

Why is this season a big deal?

Partly because a room is closing: RA reports that The White Hotel in Salford is heading into its final autumn before closing at the end of 2026. Partly because of what's opening and celebrating, from Mint XL, which opened in Leeds on 25 September, to fabric's birthday weekend in London. People look these places up in big numbers: in the UK, "fabric london" is searched about 90,500 times a month, "warehouse project" about 49,500 and Resident Advisor, the listings site most of these parties are on, about 49,500 (Google Keyword Planner, October 2026).

Why should you care before you book?

Because the ticket is only part of the cost. Most of these nights mean a train, a room and a journey home at whatever time the party actually finishes, and the hotel night you need isn't always the one you'd guess (more on that at the end). The night worth booking is the one you'd still travel for if the biggest name came off the poster.

The short answer: with the September parties done, my first tickets would be fabric's birthday weekend, Theo Parrish at The White Hotel and Overmono's night at WHP, with Bristol's jungle and bass parties on the same list. The dates, music and journey home matter more than collecting venue names. Below, each one gets the direct listing, something to listen to and my reasoning. The embedded sets are old recordings, there to give you a feel for the artists, and each caption says where it's from. The September and early October parties have been and gone, so the list now starts with fabric's birthday. Entry conditions and what's left are worth a look before you book a train.

London: fabric's whole birthday

South Bermondsey Festival, AVA's RA25 night at Outernet and Tech Couture at FOLD have all been and gone, so in London the autumn now comes down to fabric.

fabric's birthday kicks off with a serious bass night. Mixmag's announcement flagged FABRICLIVE as well as the main birthday party. On 16 October, the current official programme has Girls Don’t Sync, Skee Mask, MANTRA b2b Beatrice M., Oneman and Tailor Jae. If bass and broken beat are more your thing than a multi-day techno endurance test, Friday's your night. Mixmag's announcement is here, and so is the current programme.

Then there's the 17–19 October party. Craig Richards, Ricardo Villalobos, Jane Fitz, DJ Masda, Freddy K, PARAMIDA and Zip are among the guests, and the current advertised hours are Saturday 23:00 to Monday 05:00. Unless you're made of stronger stuff than me, you're not doing all of that, so pick your session around the running order and the ticket conditions. Manchester and Salford: a goodbye and some huge back-to-backs

The White Hotel's last autumn is the reason to get to Salford now, not "next year". What you can get back oBuying guide · View store → reports the venue is heading into its final autumn before closing at the end of 2026, citing flooding and redevelopment pressure. If you've always meant to go, this is your deadline. On 23 October Theo Parrish has the whole night, and the 27 November High Hoops finale is announced, though RA's report had its lineup as TBA. Call Super's fourteen-hour session on 26 September and the Trilogy Tapes party on 9 October have already happened. RA's report links to each listing.

Overmono's WHP night on 30 October has pairings I'd happily cross the country for. James Blake b2b Joy Orbison is on the Depot bill. Concourse has Moodymann, Blawan and Helena Hauff b2b DJ Bone. And HAIN's programme in Archive has Lee Gamble b2b Nkisi and Space Afrika. The top line of the poster is only the start: each room is a genuinely different night. Bristol: jungle, grime and nights that won't sit still

Bristol's bass music deserves top billing, so here it is. The September parties, 10 Years of NM at Clock Factory and Intaception at The Croft, have been and gone, but the rest of the autumn is strong.

Talk to Strangers brings Simo Cell and Forest Drive West to Strange Brew on 17 October. Simo Cell, Forest Drive West and nahda: three artists, that's it. If the huge programmes elsewhere on this list make your head spin, this is the gentler way in. Forest Drive West's Apparitions and Simo Cell's YES.DJ are worth a listen before you go. Between them you've got techno, dub, jungle and fractured bass rhythms to get your ears round. It runs 22:30–04:00.

Simo Cell's Dekmantel set is a quick way to tell whether Strange Brew sounds like your kind of night.

On 14 November, 20 Years of Rupture takes over Trinity Centre. It opens with Ferry to the Underworld, a standing theatre piece about Black culture's contribution to jungle and drum and bass, with Double O scoring it live. The rave follows from 23:00 until 05:00. A play and then a rave is a brilliant way to mark twenty years. Headfirst's listing names Sully and Loxy for the rave, with more to come, so the theatre-and-rave pairing is still the reason to buy, not a hoped-for name. The programme is worth reading before choosing a ticket.

Glasgow: the techno dates I'd plan around

Slam's warehouse session on 26 September has been and gone, but Animal Farm has three more dates worth building a trip around. MARRØN plays with Quail and AXION at Sub Club on 30 October. LICHTRAUM on 28 November brings Stephanie Sykes and Cirkle live to Argyle Arcade for ten hours. Then on 28 December it's Animal Farm's 22nd birthday at Sub Club, with Philippa Pacho and Red Rooms. RA reported the season on 21 September, and the point is that Glasgow has a run going right into winter, not just one weekend. If one date doesn't work for you, another might. Leeds: a brand-new club

Mint XL opened on 25 September, with system. across all three rooms and Craig Richards, Fumiya Tanaka and Sonja Moonear among the guests. The opening night has been and gone, but the club's season carries on: Ben UFO and Papa Nugs are listed for Friday 20 November, from 10pm. Ents24 lists the night, though it had no tickets to sell when I checked, so the club's own channels are the ones to watch. The opening-night lineup is still on RA.

Liverpool's September pick, Paul Street Sounds at Kapsule, has also been and gone.

Right, so which would I actually book?

The quick version: fabric's birthday for the long haul; Overmono's WHP night for the back-to-backs; The White Hotel while it's still standing; Animal Farm for techno that just keeps going; Rupture for jungle with a play attached; Talk to Strangers for a smaller Bristol room. While the group chat argues about which WHP date to go for, a Hessle Audio session from Rinse FM makes good background. fabric's recordings are there if you want longer sets, and the residents and smaller names on whichever night you land on are worth looking up too. Honestly, the support slots are half the reason to get there early.

Where to crash after the party

The venue comes first, then the hotel. For The White Hotel, Trinity and Mint XL, you'll need to check the route separately. A hotel name you recognise in the city centre tells you nothing about how grim the journey back is going to be.

For Glasgow and Leeds, the address on the event listing is what decides where to stay. The full room price, the cancellation terms and the checkout time are the three things to compare, and the hotel groups we cover are on our hotels and stays page. The one that catches people out: a Friday party that ends on Saturday morning normally means booking Friday night's room. A Saturday booking generally doesn't start until afternoon check-in, which is a very long time to sit in a Greggs. fabric's Saturday party runs into Monday morning, so think hard about which nights you book and when you have to check out.

Before paying for travel, recheck the lineup, last entry, age restrictions, access information and whether official tickets are still available. And for the December parties, check the holiday timetables, because nothing kills the glow of Animal Farm's birthday like a rail replacement bus.
