A D&B weekend in a holiday park, two days of techno in Glasgow and a small Welsh festival with long sets can all be sold as electronic music trips. They are three very different weekends. For 2027, I would choose the sound and setting first, then look at the poster: Hospitality for all-in D&B, Terminal V for techno, Gottwood for deeper house, or a broader bill when your group wants room to wander.
My first choices: Hospitality Weekender for an actual D&B-only escape; Terminal V for a two-day techno trip; Gottwood for deeper house and long-form dancing; GemFest if your group cannot settle on one tempo; and Boomtown if jungle and D&B matter as much as the world built around them. These have 2027 editions announced. The bills are at different stages, so I would buy for the format today and wait for the lineups if one artist is the deal-breaker.

The D&B trip: Hospitality Weekender
Hospitality Weekender takes over Butlin's Bognor Regis from 12β15 March 2027. If the group's complaint about festivals is sleeping in mud, this is the cleanest answer: indoor arenas, a resort bed and a booking that bundles accommodation with entry. The announced bill includes Andy C, Dillinja, Kings of the Rollers, Metrik, Logistics, Fred V and Etherwood. That spans the punchier end of D&B and the more melodic Hospital Records orbit without asking you to hunt for the one relevant stage on a mixed-genre site.
The booking detail matters. The organiser's package page says accommodation and festival entry are sold together, and the terms say guests must stay on site. Choose the room for the number of people who will actually come, then check what the package includes. A room-only option and a self-catering apartment are very different weekends once food costs enter the chat. See the current official packages. The techno trip: Terminal V moves to Glasgow
The interesting thing about Terminal V 2027 is the move. Its tenth-anniversary festival is set for 5β6 June in Glasgow, in a new outdoor industrial setting after years in Edinburgh. I would choose this if I wanted a concentrated techno weekend and a city bed rather than another camping marathon. The change of site is a reason to be curious, but also a reason to wait for a proper venue and travel announcement before locking in a non-refundable hotel. The current festival page still shows 2026 artists; do not treat them as the 2027 lineup. Register with the organiser for the new site and ticket details. Terminal V's visual archive is a useful look at the scale of its previous production. It shows the festival's past, not the Glasgow layout. The label's 2026 ROW1 podcast gives you a taste of its harder dance orbit; it does not place ROW1 on the 2027 bill.
The heads-down house trip: Gottwood
Gottwood returns to Anglesey 10β13 June 2027. Its smaller estate setting and extended hours make more sense to me than a huge main-stage bill if the pleasure is finding a long set, leaving it, then wandering back hours later. The organiser says its 24-hour licence will continue to shape the festival; the 2026 programme shows how selectively it introduced overnight programming. So do not assume every stage runs all night. The 2027 lineup and full timetable still need announcing.
An earlier Gottwood recording by Wax Material moves between garage, house, broken beat and minimal. It is a 2025 set, not a 2027 booking.
Early-bird tickets are gone on the 2027 site. Sign up there for the next release rather than buying from a stranger. If you are travelling by train, wait for updated 2027 shuttle details: the site's information page still contains 2026 timings.
The independent mixed-bill pick: GemFest
GemFest is the name I would send to a group chat split between UKG, 140, house, techno and jungle. This independent festival at Charlton Park Estate near Malmesbury has confirmed 17β20 June 2027 and describes exactly that spread. Its 2026 list ranged from High Contrast and Critical Sound to Faster Horses and The Shapeshifters; those are examples of the festival's range, not a 2027 booking. The new bill is still to come.
It is a camping trip, and the official travel notes deserve attention. The organiser says to use the Chippenham shuttle or arranged vehicle drop-off; walking in from the roads around the estate is prohibited. That is more useful to know now than a vague promise that it is βnear Bristolβ. Check official 2027 tickets and travel add-ons. The big bass city: Boomtown
Boomtown is 11β15 August 2027 in Hampshire, and tickets are already on sale. I would pick it for the combination of bass music and a place you can disappear into: themed districts, hidden venues, performances and a story that connects the weekend. If all you want is one long house set, Gottwood is a sharper choice. If you want jungle and D&B inside a much larger adventure, Boomtown makes more sense.
The 2026 programme included Rupture's Double O and SHERELLE, Clipz, and other jungle and D&B bookings. That gives a concrete sense of its recent bass programming, but it is not the 2027 lineup. Watch the organiser's programme before buying around any one act. At checkout, compare the official ticket types: Wednesday and Thursday arrivals, and public-transport entry options, are separate choices.
This official 2025 film shows how Boomtown's districts and story work at festival scale. It is an archive, so use it to judge the setting rather than next year's bill.
The wider-music alternatives: We Out Here and Lost Village
We Out Here runs 19β22 August 2027 at Wimborne St Giles in Dorset. I would take a group here if one person wants house and another wants jazz, soul or live music without either feeling stranded. Gilles Peterson's festival connects those scenes with talks, food and family programming. Weekend entry includes general camping; the organiser says its 2027 early-bird allocation has sold out, so sign up for the next release. Do not build the trip around an artist until the 2027 programme arrives.

Lost Village is 26β29 August 2027 at Norton Disney, Lincolnshire. It is a different pitch: woodland staging, electronic music, restaurants, talks and comedy. Its information page calls it a daytime-focused experience, with activities from morning and music later. If the group's idea of a festival includes a proper meal and things to do between sets, this might win. If you want a purist techno weekend, start elsewhere. 2027 ticket priority registration is open; its visible music lineup is still labelled 2026.
A Bristol weekend: Love Saves the Day
Love Saves the Day returns to Ashton Court on 29β30 May 2027. Its value is a Bristol-based festival weekend rather than a camping trip: local crews alongside a wider UK dance bill, and a city to continue in after the site closes. The 2027 artist list is still to come. The organiser says early-bird tickets go on sale 29 September 2026, with app users first and email subscribers after; check its live page for the exact route when that date arrives. The 2027 watchlist I would not book around yet
Houghton remains a compelling Norfolk choice for extended sets, bespoke sound systems and curious programming. Its organiser says 2027 dates and tickets are coming soon. AVA Belfast has opened a 2027 sign-up, but its visible lineup belongs to 2026. Waterworks has a 2027 first-access list, but no confirmed location, date or lineup after 2026 had to move from Gunnersbury Park to The Cause. Field Maneuvers is a small Norfolk party whose 2026 information describes the no-frills, sound-system-first appeal; a 2027 edition is not yet on its public site. They belong on your radar, not in a paid itinerary until each organiser publishes the missing details.
For a tiny house-and-liquid-D&B option, Lost Lake has announced 17β18 July 2027 in North Devon and opened registration, though tickets and lineup are still pending. Its over-21 rule and separate camping arrangements matter if you are planning with a mixed-age group.
If your favourite 2027 D&B search result is Hospitality on the Beach, check the map before calling it a UK festival: that event is in Tisno, Croatia. For a UK D&B trip right now, I would start with Hospitality Weekender in Bognor Regis or the mixed-genre GemFest and Boomtown.
So which one would I book?
For pure D&B with the least camping admin, Hospitality Weekender. For techno and production, Terminal V. For a smaller house-led rave, Gottwood. For the most interesting overlap of house, techno, jungle and D&B, GemFest. For a giant bass-friendly adventure, Boomtown. I would put Houghton, AVA, Waterworks and Field Maneuvers on an alert list and revisit them as the announcements land. That is a much better use of a calendar than pretending every 2026 poster is already a 2027 plan.
