If your bank account and your free time could talk, they'd both be asking you to calm down about February 2027. Metro 2039, Persona 4 Revival and Fable all land within three weeks of each other, and then Final Fantasy VII Revelation turns up on 8 April. Resident Evil Veronica and State of Decay 3 are confirmed for the year too, but still don't have exact dates.
I've kept this list to games with something real behind them. Every one has an official PC announcement, a video you can judge for yourself, and a buying decision you can make today. For most of them, that decision is still "wishlist it", not "preorder it".

Metro 2039 β 4 February 2027
This is the one for you if you want a tight, hand-crafted single-player shooter instead of another enormous RPG. 4A Games describes it as a solo, story-driven FPS about The Stranger, a former Spartan heading back to a Moscow run by Hunter's regime. Radiation, bodged-together kit, and the switch between cramped tunnels and a thawing surface are all still at the heart of it.
The trailer shows a dam complex, radiation on the surface, some sneaking about with the charged Shatun rifle, and close-quarters fighting. It looks grim in exactly the way Metro should. But it's captured on a PS5 Pro, so it tells you what the combat and visuals are aiming for, not what graphics card you'll need to match it. The things I actually want to know are the PC specs, shader behaviour, ultrawide support and how the ray tracing scales if you haven't got a top-end rig.
Wishlist it if you want a focused, atmospheric campaign. Don't buy any listing that just says "PC" until it names Steam or Epic, the UK region and when you'll get your key. Our Metro 2039 PC guide keeps track of requirements, editions and retailers.
Persona 4 Revival β 18 February 2027
Persona 4 Revival is a remake of Persona 4 Golden. It rebuilds the graphics, menus, combat and cutscenes, but keeps the murder mystery and the calendar-driven life in rural Inaba. If you like a long RPG that's really about its characters, and you're happy splitting evenings between dungeons and deciding who to hang out with after school, this is probably yours.
From the trailer, this is properly modernised, not just a texture pack: better-proportioned characters, reworked environments and snappier-looking combat. What it can't tell you is whether all of Golden's content made it across, how the PC version runs, or whether the paid costume, Persona and music packs add anything beyond decoration.
If you reckon you'll play it once, PC Game Pass is the low-commitment option. Steam makes more sense if you want to own it, keep your library in one place or play it again. Our Persona 4 Revival edition guide splits the base game from the Deluxe and Premium extras.
Fable β 23 February 2027
Fable is February's pick for open-world fantasy, a reputation that reacts to you, and action combat. Playground Games' Albion brings back Heroes, morality, Demon Doors and Jack of Blades, and you don't need to have finished the Lionhead games. The big question isn't whether it looks like the old ones. It's whether your choices actually change quests, relationships and the world around you, because to me that's always been the whole point of Fable.
This trailer sets out the tone, the melee, ranged attacks, magic and the current cast. Xbox's longer Bowerstone quest demo is the better watch if you want to see movement, conversations and an actual quest play out. Both are made by the publisher, though, so PC frame pacing, settings and how it'll cope on a handheld still need proof from the finished game.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation β 8 April 2027
Revelation finishes off the remake trilogy on 8 April. If you've skipped both Remake Intergrade and Rebirth, don't start here. The story kicks off with Meteor, Sephiroth and everything from the first two games already in motion. The right prep is to play those two, not to read the whole 1997 plot on a wiki at midnight.
The new footage confirms you can fly the Highwind freely, parachute and grapple-hook your way around, play as Cid and Vincent, swap party members, and use FITS, a job-style ability system. Honestly, free flight in the Highwind is the bit that got me. It also leaves you with a real edition decision: the digital Premium versions add 24-hour early access and a Story Expansion Pass covering later Sephiroth and Vincent-and-the-Turks DLC. Those stories come out after launch, so there's no way to know if they're any good when you buy the base game.
I'd go standard unless you already know you want both story expansions. The Trilogy Edition can be handy if you're new, because it includes the two earlier games, but only if you've got time to get through them before April. Resident Evil Veronica β date TBA in 2027
Resident Evil Veronica is a full remake of the 2000 game where Claire Redfield goes looking for Chris and ends up on Rockfort Island. Capcom says it's rebuilding the story, graphics and gameplay in RE Engine, not just bumping the resolution. That leaves room for big changes to the original's camera, character switching, item decisions and structure.
The announcement gives us Claire, the prison, Umbrella and an over-the-shoulder survival-horror look. It doesn't give us a release day, a UK price, editions, PC requirements or the full list of playable characters. If a shop says 31 December, that's a database placeholder unless Capcom has published the date itself.
Wishlist the confirmed Steam page and wait. If you want homework, Resident Evil 2 is the modern introduction to Claire. State of Decay 3 β date TBA in 2027
This is the co-op, keep-your-people-alive game of the bunch. Undead Labs has announced solo play plus a shared world for up to four players, with bigger settlements, weapon crafting, Plague Nests and survival consequences that stick. It's for a group that's more into keeping a community fed and alive than playing one unkillable hero.
The developer says the normal over-the-shoulder bits are game capture using the real gameplay camera. That's more useful than CGI, but it still doesn't tell you who owns the settlement, whether there's cross-play, how shared progress works, how difficulty scales or what happens to a settlement when someone leaves the group.
If you fancy helping shape those systems, join the official playtest waitlist. For a group, PC Game Pass can be a cheaper first test than four copies, but only once cross-platform invites and save ownership are explained. Our State of Decay 3 PC guide follows all of that.
What about GTA VI on PC?
Sorry. Rockstar hasn't announced a PC version or a PC date for GTA VI. Its current platform list is PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, on 19 November 2026. Past Rockstar release patterns and things executives have said don't add PC to that list, however much we'd all like them to.

Can I try anything before buying?
Steam Next Fest is back in 2027, including 14β21 June. It's a nice antidote to this list, because a public demo shows you whether the controls, text size, performance and core loop actually work for you, on your own machine.
Our Steam Next Fest 2027 guide turns a wall of demos into a two-hour test session. Don't expect the six big games above to be there, though. Valve's event is for eligible unreleased games, and it's up to each developer whether they put out a demo.
How do I not go broke in February and April?
Please don't preorder all three February games just because each one looks great on its own. Metro will probably be the shortest and most directed. Persona is a long calendar RPG. Fable is an open-world action RPG built to make you wander off. Pick the one you'll actually start on day one, and leave the others for reviews, patches or a sale.
April brings a trilogy finale that rewards doing your homework. If you haven't played Final Fantasy VII Remake and Rebirth, the best thing you can buy in 2026 might be those two, not a Revelation Premium preorder. Subscriptions change the maths for Persona, Fable and State of Decay, but they also put you on a clock. Compare how many months you'll realistically be playing against the cost of just owning it.
