The idea
Clean Me was set up because getting a car cleaned the traditional way means travelling to a car wash, queuing and waiting while it is done. It also says some local washes use harsh products or techniques that can leave swirl marks, and that existing mobile services cover only a few areas. Its answer is a nationwide marketplace of independent mobile cleaners who bring the wash to your car.
The services
You enter your postcode and vehicle details and see what is offered in your area. The range runs from a basic exterior wash through mini, interior, exterior and full valets to deeper work such as machine polishing, ceramic coating, headlight restoration, mould removal and winter protection. Clean Me also lists caravan, motorhome, convertible roof and fleet cleaning, plus upholstery and carpet cleaning.
Booking
Pick a date and time, confirm your address and pay securely with Apple Pay or Google Pay. The operator then confirms, and you can message them through the app once they have accepted. You will need to leave enough room for them to work, whether the car is on your drive, on the road where it is safe to do so, or in a car park. Most operators bring their own water and power, and you can filter results to those who do.

Clean Me doesn't set prices. Each operator sets their own, so you can compare the options in your postcode before you book.

Cancelling
You can cancel a booking an operator hasn't accepted yet for a full refund.
