Original, Wide or Slim?
Cloud Nine's current Original Iron has 1-inch plates and 11 temperature settings from 100β200Β°C. The Wide Iron has 1.5-inch plates; the Slim Iron has 0.5-inch plates. Start with the length of the hair being styled and the sections the recipient needs to reach. Bigger plates are not automatically the better present.
Selectable temperature is a useful distinction from a fixed-temperature tool such as ghd Gold. Ask whether the recipient wants that control before choosing a replacement for something they already enjoy using.
Is the gift set good value?
Compare the same model and colour at each seller. A brush, bag or personalised finish adds value only if the recipient wants it. Check which extras are included and whether a discount code applies to the selected set before paying.
Leave room to change their mind
Cloud Nine's UK website advertises 45-day returns from receipt, excluding personalised products. Read the conditions for use and included gifts before ordering. If Christmas is weeks away, calculate how much of that window will remain when the box is opened.
Buying for someone who travels
Check the voltage on every appliance in the bundle. The current Wide Iron lists 100β240V, while the Hot Air Brush gift listed alongside it is 220β240V. Match the exact product to the destination as well as the plug.
