An API that scrapes, crawls and searches the web into Markdown or JSON and returns company logos, colours and fonts
Context.dev has a free plan. Prices in US dollars as Context.dev's pricing page showed them on 11 October 2026.
Context.dev, formerly Brand.dev, is an API that turns websites into clean Markdown, HTML, screenshots or structured JSON, and returns company data such as logos, colours and fonts. It suits developers building AI agents, search and onboarding features. A free tier gives 1,000 credits a month with no card; paid plans start at $19 a month, or $16 billed yearly.
One call turns a URL into Markdown, rendered HTML, screenshots, images or fields picked out with CSS rules, for one credit. JavaScript rendering, anti-bot handling and proxies are included.
Crawl collects up to 500 pages of a site as Markdown in one call, Map lists a site's URLs, and Batches run up to 25,000 URLs as a background job with a webhook at the end.
You can send a JSON schema and get the page's data back in that shape, or ask Answers a research question and get JSON with the source URLs behind it.
Brand lookups return a company's logos, colours, description, socials, address and industry from a domain, email, name or stock ticker. Styleguide returns a site's fonts and design tokens.
Web search returns ranked results with each page's content, news search covers companies by name, domain or ticker, and people enrichment matches a profile from an email or name.
Page, sitemap and data monitors watch websites on a schedule and send a signed webhook with the changes when something moves.
Official SDKs cover TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go and PHP, and an MCP server and plugins bring the tools into Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT and other AI assistants.

“the brand/company enrichment endpoints saved me from writing a bunch of one-off logo/favicon scraping code.”
“It’s easy to use, very fast, and consistently reliable, which is exactly what we care about most.”
“Would like clearer visibility into what happens when a target site changes its robots.txt or ToS”
Context.dev is free for up to 1,000 credits a month, and paid plans run from $19 to $499 a month in US dollars. Prices are only shown in dollars, so a UK card is charged in dollars and your bank may add a foreign transaction fee. The pricing page doesn't mention VAT.
The Developer plan gives 7,500 credits for $19, Pro 125,000 for $99, Growth 500,000 for $299 and Scale 1 million for $499. Paying yearly brings those down to $16, $83, $249 and $416 a month, which Context.dev describes as two months free. Enterprise starts above 2 million credits a month at a custom price. Paid plans can top up automatically in blocks of 1,000 credits, from $2.20 a block on Developer down to $1.00 on Scale.
A standard scrape costs one credit whatever formats you ask for, and JavaScript rendering, anti-bot handling and proxies are included in that price. Some calls cost more:
Most failed requests aren't billed, but a 404 is charged at the base price. When credits run out and no top-up is available, the API refuses further calls until the next month.
For developers who want scraping, crawling and company data from a single key, the reviews so far are positive. Context.dev scores 4.9 out of 5 from 18 reviews on Product Hunt, where people praise its speed, reliability and the brand enrichment endpoints that save writing logo and favicon scrapers.
The review base is small and the product is young: it was renamed from Brand.dev in 2026 and launched widely that summer. Reviewers have asked for better colour detection in brand data and clearer handling of sites that change their robots.txt or terms. The free tier is enough to test it on real pages before paying.
Both turn web pages into Markdown or JSON for AI tools, and their prices are almost the same: both have a free tier of 1,000 credits a month, and both charge $19 and $99 a month for their first two paid plans. Firecrawl's $19 plan includes 5,000 credits against Context.dev's 7,500, while Firecrawl's $99 plan includes 100,000 against 125,000.
The difference is in what else comes with the key. Context.dev adds company and brand lookups (logos, colours, fonts, socials, addresses), people enrichment, company news search, file parsing and change monitors. Firecrawl has an open-source version that can be self-hosted, which Context.dev doesn't offer. Anyone who only needs page scraping can choose on price and the output quality on their own target sites.
Context Dev Inc. is a Delaware company, and its public trust centre lists SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 compliance and status page. Its published list of sub-processors places account data, billing and analytics with US providers such as Google Cloud, Stripe and PostHog, so UK teams with data residency rules should note that account data sits in the US.
A 99.9% uptime agreement, SSO with SCIM, and a signed MSA or DPA are only offered on Enterprise. Context.dev is hosted only, with no self-hosted edition.
Yearly billing is the easiest saving, cutting each paid plan by about a sixth. Picking the cheapest plan that covers your volume also matters: the pricing page suggests Developer up to about 50,000 pages a month with top-ups, and Pro from there to 250,000.
DiscountAn API that searches, scrapes and crawls websites into clean Markdown or JSON for AI agents and apps
A web scraping API fetches pages and hands back clean data. For feeding an AI app, Firecrawl is the fullest toolkit and Context.dev costs less per page; for protected shops, ScrapingBee, Zyte and Bright Data do better. What 10,000 pages cost on each, and what UK law says.

Yes. The free tier includes 1,000 credits a month, one request at a time and a one-off quota of 10,000 logo lookups, with no card needed.
Yes. Brand.dev renamed itself Context.dev in 2026 as it grew from logos and company data into scraping, crawling and search. Its old SDKs are marked as deprecated on GitHub.
Its terms say all purchases are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time in your account and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term.
There are official SDKs for TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go and PHP, plus a REST API, a command-line tool and an MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT.
Not as standard. Context.dev says it doesn't sell one-time lookups, but you can email its team to discuss a one-off project.
Yes. A single crawl call can collect up to 500 pages as Markdown, and larger sites can be run as background batches of up to 25,000 URLs with a webhook when they finish.
