The story
Celia and Alec started DAME because they felt periods deserved better than euphemisms and mystery ingredients. The brand began with the world's first reusable tampon applicator, and has grown into a full period care range. Its aim is a world where periods hold nobody back, with products that are kinder to bodies and to the planet.
The range
There are period pants in several styles for different flows, including night and high-waist options, plus washable reusable pads in a choice of sizes. Tampons are organic cotton, in a few absorbency levels, with postal packs that come through the letterbox. DAME also sells a period cup, bundles, and a quiz on the site that matches you to products by flow.
What's different
DAME says it uses organic cotton grown without pesticides, with no toxins and no oil-derived plastic. It is a certified B Corp and a benefit corporation, so its social and environmental mission is written into how it operates. It has also teamed up with Girlguiding UK and made a reusable pad and dry bag with Finisterre.
Delivery
DAME advertises tracked UK shipping, and postal packs go by letterbox delivery. Orders usually go with the local postal service, so delivery can't be guaranteed for a set day. If something doesn't arrive, report it through the contact page within the window set out in its terms.
Returns
You have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days. Because the products are for hygiene, DAME can't accept returns once a pack has been opened, and you pay the postage. Faulty or damaged items are replaced or refunded.
