Shopping with Dinners With Friends
Dinners With Friends is a social dining organiser, not a restaurant. Browse the current Devon events before buying credits: each listing gives the venue, date and menu. A host welcomes the table, and arriving alone is normal.
Credits reserve your seat; food and drink are ordered and paid for separately at the venue. The current how-it-works page says a credit costs £1, credits do not expire, and tables usually seat 10–12 people for two to three hours. Check the exact event listing for the number of credits required and the venue's menu before booking.
I would choose this if you want conversation to be the main activity, without the dating-event format. If you would rather meet people through a shared task first, a walking group, class or game session may feel easier. Dinners With Friends says its dinners are for friendship, not dating.
