Choosing a grow setup
Start with the growing method rather than the lamp. Hydroponic systems such as DWC, NFT and flood and drain differ in how they deliver nutrient solution to roots, so pick one that matches how much attention you can give it day to day. Complete kits bundle a system with the basics and can be a sensible route for a first grow.
Lighting and tents
LED grow lights are sold for vegetative and flowering stages, so check whether a fixture covers the phase you plan to spend most time in. Grow tents range from small home setups to larger indoor spaces, and the right size depends on the footprint you have and how much heat and airflow the lamp will generate.
Nutrients and climate control
Nutrients come in mineral, organic and specialist forms, and the store carries several brands. Environmental controllers, fans, filters and ducting help manage temperature and humidity, which matter as much as light once plants are established. Buying a monitoring station early can make it easier to spot problems.
Visiting or ordering
If you are unsure what fits your space, the showroom is the most practical place to compare equipment side by side. Otherwise, check the delivery information for your location before ordering, since charges and timings vary by area.
