DrinkWell: what to know before you buy

Comparing lighter wines

Wines are grouped by style, so you can filter for sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, merlot or rosé and then compare the figures on each product page. Many of the best-selling wines are listed with 0g sugar, so calories and alcohol strength are often the more useful differences to weigh up between bottles.

Lager and beer

Beer is a smaller part of the range. A light lager in cans is listed with calorie and carbohydrate figures, and the brand says its beers are lower in carbs than standard versions. If carbohydrates matter to you, check the carb line on the individual product rather than assuming a lighter label means a lighter drink.

Dietary filters

The wine pages include filters for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, organic and low sulphur wines. These help narrow the choice quickly, but check each product's own details before relying on a filter for a specific requirement.

Damaged or incorrect orders

If a parcel arrives damaged, contact customer service within 5 working days of receiving the order, with clear photos of the delivery label and the damage. For returns, items must be unopened and in their original packaging, requested within 30 days, and the return delivery cost is non-refundable.
