The story
Eleria was founded by Monica Wai and Kira Goode, who met studying innovation at the University of Bristol. They researched why more people weren't using menstrual cups and found two big barriers: cleaning a cup in a public toilet, and sterilising it in a shared living space. Their product is built to solve both at once.
The case
The main product is a portable cleaning and sterilising case for a menstrual cup. It is designed so you can clean your cup while out and about, and store it in your bag between periods. The brand says its mission is to make sustainable products more convenient, affordable and accessible, and that the case makes switching to a cup more appealing for people put off by the hassle of cleaning it. Its stated values are inclusivity, sustainability, education and accessibility.
The cup
Eleria also sells its own period cup, in a few colours. You can buy just the case, just the cup, or both together. If you are unsure which suits you, the site has a short quiz to help you find the right cup.
Giving back
Eleria has partnered with the charity Period Friendly Places, and lets you donate a period cup to someone affected by period poverty when you shop.
Delivery
Orders are shipped across the UK, with tracked express and standard options chosen at checkout. Eleria aims to dispatch within a couple of working days, and busy periods can take a little longer. It doesn't ship to PO boxes, and the address can't be changed once an order is placed.
Returns
Because these are intimate products, Eleria doesn't accept returns for change of mind, wrong size or personal preference once an order is delivered. Faulty or wrongly described items, and wrong items sent, are eligible for a refund or replacement if you contact the brand within the stated time with your order number and photos.
