Shopping with The Glee Club
Check what kind of booking you are making
The Glee Club sells two different kinds of event. Its own weekend comedy shows, including Comedy Carousel, All In Comedy, Friday Night Comedy and Saturday Night Comedy, are produced in-house. Most other events are sold as an agent on behalf of an external promoter, so the promoter's own conditions can also apply. Read the listing to see which applies before you pay.
Understand the transfer rules
Bookings for the in-house comedy nights can be moved to another equivalent show through MYGLEE, subject to a per-ticket fee and a cut-off on the day of the show. Tour shows for comedy, music, cabaret, burlesque, spoken word and talks are not transferable or refundable once made, so think carefully before booking those. Advance bookings must be paid in full when made.
Plan your arrival
The venues do not use paper or e-tickets at the door. Arrive with your whole party and give the booking name. Arrival times are given at booking, and latecomers may be refused entry or moved to any remaining space, which can mean standing. Large holdalls, rucksacks and suitcases are not admitted to the auditoriums, and outside food and drink are not allowed, though empty water bottles can be filled at the bar. Photo ID is needed if you appear under 25 and for under-18 entry on listed shows.
Know the age and changes policy
Most shows are 18 and over unless the listing says otherwise. Under-16s must carry photo ID and be accompanied by an adult with a ticket. Line-ups on mixed bills may change, so if one particular act matters, call the venue before travelling. Decisions to change or cancel an external promoter's event rest with that promoter, so keep any travel and accommodation flexible where possible.
