Green Man Gaming: what to know before you buy
Check the edition before you add to basket
The homepage lists games under labels such as Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition, and the difference between them can be significant. Deluxe and digital deluxe versions often bundle extra content, so compare the contents rather than the headline price. Pre-purchase and coming soon listings show a release date, which means you may be paying before the game is playable.
Read the refund conditions first
The refund policy is clear that refunds are not issued because you dislike a product or because your computer falls short of the minimum requirements. Refunds or store credit are at the store's discretion and handled case by case. Requests are only considered within seven days of purchase, and only if the game has not been activated or downloaded and the key has not been disclosed to you. Check the system requirements before you reveal the key, not after.
Timing matters for pre-release titles
Refunds cannot be processed within 48 hours of a game's release or preload start. If you are buying a title shortly before launch, that window can close quickly, so think about whether you need the key straight away or can wait.
Be cautious about discounts and region
The homepage shows percentage reductions and promotional codes that change often, so treat any sale price as temporary. Purchases made through a proxy server, VPN or similar technology may not work and are not eligible for a refund. If a game is priced differently for your region, check the product page carefully before buying.
