The product
Howie works like a human assistant with an email address. You copy it into a thread and it reads the conversation, checks your calendars, offers times across time zones, handles the replies and sends the invite. It can also create booking links, click other people's booking links for you and follow up when someone goes quiet.
Your calendar
Beyond booking, Howie adds holds, buffers and travel time, watches for conflicts and overloaded days, and sends a daily briefing. You can give it standing rules, such as following up after 48 hours or capping back-to-back meetings, and it applies them every time.
Who it suits
Founders, investors and small teams who arrange lots of meetings with people outside the company will get the most from it. It talks to you by email, SMS or iMessage, so there is no phone app to install. It connects to Gmail and Google Calendar, so it won't suit anyone working mainly in Outlook.
Pricing
Howie charges in US dollars on a monthly credit plan. Credits are shared across a workspace, and a workspace can have unlimited teammates, so cost follows usage rather than headcount. There is an optional add-on for a white-label assistant with its own name and an address at your company's domain, and an enterprise route for larger rollouts. Plans and credit tiers are on its pricing section, so check there before you commit.
Saving
New workspaces get starter credits, which is the easiest way to see how many credits your own meetings use. Any live code is listed on this page: copy it and enter it when you sign up.
Cancelling
Its terms say you keep your subscription until the end of the period you've paid for, and that you won't get a prorated refund for the remainder. You can cancel from your account settings.
