The story
LENA describes its mission as combining beauty with integrity. The brand set out to make a premium polish that respects both style and values: elegant, ethical and, in its words, award-winning. The formula
The polish is breathable and water-permeable, so oxygen and moisture can pass through to the nail rather than sitting under a solid barrier. LENA says this makes it suitable for wudhu, and that it has been lab tested for water permeability. It is also vegan, never tested on animals and “5 Free”, meaning free from formaldehyde, toluene, DBP and camphor.
The range
Colours are grouped into creams and whites, beige and browns, pinks, mauves, reds and berries, and more, in finishes from sheer and matte to holographic and glitter. There is a sheer Soap Nails look, a bridal edit and a French manicure line. Breathable base and top coats, nail care, a halal-friendly remover and a kids’ range sit alongside.
Wudhu and coats
LENA says its polishes were tested for water permeability with up to two coats. That could be a base and a colour, two colours, or a colour and a top coat. It recommends a breathable base and top coat, such as its own, to keep that permeability.
Delivery
