Lights4fun: what to know before you buy
What does Lights4fun sell?
Lights4fun designs decorative lighting for indoors and out, in battery, plug-in and solar ranges: fairy lights, festoon lights, lanterns, wreaths and garlands, curtain and net lights, children's lights and seasonal pieces. Its TruGlow candles give the look of candlelight without a flame, and its connectable ranges let you link lights together. It started as a family business around a kitchen table in 2003, and its in-house team designs exclusive products. For real scented candles, Candles Direct stocks Yankee Candle and WoodWick, and Bedeck Home sells bedding and homeware for the same rooms.
How do you choose the right lights?
Where the lights will go and where the nearest socket is decide most of it. A product has to be meant for outdoors if that is where it is heading, and it helps to measure the run from the socket to where the lights will hang. Solar and battery sets avoid cables altogether. For connectable ranges, the plug, extension and connectors need to match, and the listing says whether batteries or a transformer are included.
Where does Lights4fun deliver?
UK orders, including Northern Ireland, go with Evri or DPD, with a choice of delivery speeds and the costs shown at checkout. It also delivers to Ireland and the Channel Islands, and runs separate French and German shops for the rest of Europe.
Can you return Lights4fun products?
Yes, within its returns window, with return postage at your own cost. Items must be unmarked, undamaged and in their original packaging, and sets go back complete. Its returns page notes that items can't be exchanged, so it pays to choose the system and length carefully first. Products also carry a warranty against manufacturing faults, though not general wear and tear.
