The Littlebird desktop app

An AI assistant that remembers what is on your screen, takes meeting notes and answers questions about your past work
Littlebird has a free plan and a 14-day free trial. Prices in US dollars as Littlebird's pricing page showed them on 11 October 2026.
Littlebird is an AI assistant for Mac, with Windows in beta, that reads the text in your active window, takes meeting notes and connects to your email and calendar, so you can ask about anything you have worked on. It suits busy professionals and people who lose track across many apps. The Basic plan is free; Plus costs $20 a month, or $17 billed yearly, with a 14-day trial and a student rate.
Littlebird reads the text in your active window and keeps it as memory, so you can ask about a document, email or page you saw last week without pasting anything in.
It listens during calls, transcribes and summarises them in more than 10 languages, and prepares notes before meetings you haven't had yet.
Scheduled briefs such as a morning plan, a weekly activity summary or competitor monitoring arrive at the time you set, built from what you have been working on.
A small chat box appears in any app with one tap, so you can ask about the page or document in front of you without switching windows.
Because it knows your projects, Littlebird drafts emails, documents and updates that draw on what you have actually done.
On paid plans, an MCP server lets other AI tools such as Claude and Cursor ask about your meetings, decisions and past work.
Passwords, card details and banking sites are blocked by default, you can exclude any app or site, and you can pause or delete the last hour, day or all data.

“I genuinely have managed to avoid hiring an EA after using LittleBird for just over a week - it is unbelievably smart.”
“I love the AI and what it does. But their mobile app leaves a lot to be desired.”
“I wonder if they changed the models behind it, it was soooo good before and accurate.”
Littlebird's Basic plan is free, and paid plans run from $17 to $200 a month in US dollars. Prices are only shown in dollars, so a UK card is charged in dollars and your bank may add a foreign transaction fee. The pricing page doesn't mention VAT.
Plus costs $20 a month, or $17 a month paid as $204 up front for a year, and comes with a 14-day free trial. Power costs $50 a month, or $42 a month paid as $510 a year, and gives 2.5 times the usage credits of Plus. Pro is billed monthly at $100 for five times the Plus credits or $200 for twelve times. Teams start from $17 a month per seat, and Enterprise is priced on request.
Basic gives you the core idea: Littlebird reads the screen, meetings and connected apps, and you can chat with it on desktop and mobile. The limits are daily usage credits for chats and routines and a capped number of meeting notes.
Plus is where most of the paid features start: unlimited meeting notes, stronger AI models in chat, better memory, image generation and the Littlebird MCP server, which lets tools such as Claude and Cursor read your Littlebird memory. Some App Store reviewers say the free credits run out after very little use, so heavy users should expect to pay.
Reviews are mostly positive. Littlebird scores 5.0 out of 5 from 10 reviews on Product Hunt and 4.5 from 10 ratings on the UK App Store, where people say it saves time hunting for things they read or said, and several mention that it helps with ADHD.
The complaints are consistent too. App Store reviewers report the iPhone app crashing or freezing while the desktop app works well, and on Trustpilot, where it scores 3.4 from just two reviews, one reviewer felt answers had become less accurate after a model change. The 14-day Plus trial is a sensible test before paying for a year.
Littlebird states it is SOC 2 Type II certified and HIPAA compliant, encrypts data with AES-256 and has zero data retention agreements with its AI providers. It says it doesn't train models on your data or sell it. Passwords, card details and banking sites are blocked by default, and you can pause capture or delete the last hour, day or everything.
The main point for UK users is location: captured data is stored in the cloud on Amazon Web Services, and the pricing page doesn't say which region. Anyone handling client or patient information should check this with their employer first, since Littlebird reads whatever is in the active window unless that app is excluded.
Granola is the better fit if you only want meeting notes, while Littlebird suits people who want an assistant that remembers everything on their screen. Granola transcribes calls from your device's audio and has a free Basic plan with Business at $14 a month.
Littlebird also takes meeting notes, but adds memory of the documents, emails and pages you have open, scheduled routines such as a morning brief, and a Hover button that appears in any app. Fabric is another option for a searchable store of notes and files, and Lindy is closer to an assistant that acts for you in Slack and Gmail.
Yearly billing saves $36 a year on Plus and $96 a year on Power. Students get Plus for $15 a month after two free months, but the offer asks for a .edu email address and a photo of a student ID, so UK students may find they don't qualify. Usage packs can be bought on paid plans and never expire, which can be cheaper than moving up a tier for an occasional busy month.

The desktop app runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 13 or later, and a Windows version is in beta. There are companion apps for iPhone and Android, and a browser version to try without installing.
Littlebird's terms say all purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
It reads the active window, such as the document or web page you are using, and listens during meetings. Banking sites, passwords and card details are blocked by default, and you can exclude other apps or pause it.
Littlebird says it doesn't use your personal data to train its AI models and won't sell it. It also states it has zero data retention agreements with every AI provider it uses.
