The story
Mantis was founded in London in 2000 on the belief that progress is the heart of sport. It says it exists for the dedicated amateur, the club coach and the player who enjoys the grind, rather than for Grand Slam sponsorship. Under a new ownership team the brand was relaunched in 2025, with the original founder still on board.
The range
Tennis rackets come in adult and junior models, alongside padel rackets, tennis and padel balls, grips and other accessories. There is also a racket backpack, billed as its first piece of luggage, and a sports-inspired apparel line for on and off the court. The balls are aimed at players and coaches who get through plenty of them.
Where it's made
Mantis says its products are developed in the UK, designed in New York and made in the same factories in Taiwan, Thailand and China that have worked with the biggest names in the sport for decades. Its pitch is performance and fair pricing rather than marketing hype.
Delivery
Orders ship from UK and US warehouses, whichever is closer to you. Shipping costs are worked out at checkout from weight, destination and order value, and larger orders can qualify for a free flat-rate option. Orders are usually dispatched within a couple of working days, and you get a tracking link once they leave. Pre-orders can take longer, and Mantis emails you if so.
Saving
Any live code is listed on this page: copy it and enter it at checkout. The shop also runs bulk pricing on balls, which suits coaches and clubs, and a sale section for apparel and kit.
Returns
UK orders can be returned without a restocking fee or a charge for the return label, as long as items come back new, unused and with tags attached. Final-sale and specially discounted items are not eligible for free returns. Contact the team by email to start a return.

How to start playing padel in the UKPadel is a doubles racket sport, a mix of tennis and squash played in a glass-walled court, and a million people in Britain now play it. A first game needs a beginner session and hired kit; a £34.99 Kuikma or a £79.99 Mantis only makes sense once you know you'll go back.
Padel rackets for beginners worth paying forA padel racket is a short, thick foam bat with a holed face, and for a first one the LTA suggests a round shape. A hired racket does until padel sticks; after that, the £34.99 Kuikma PR Comfort Soft is the low-cost start; the Head, Adidas and £79.99 Mantis only earn their price if a demo shows a difference you prefer.
