The story
Jonathan Mappin opened a workshop in Sheffield in 1775 to make silverware for British society. The firm went on to win Royal Warrants and commissions from monarchs around the world, and says it has been silversmith to the United Kingdom's sovereigns since 1897. Today it describes itself as jewellers, goldsmiths and silversmiths to King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The range
Its own collections run from classic diamond pieces to high jewellery, with engagement, wedding and eternity rings at the centre. Alongside them sit luxury watch brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Omega, Tudor and TAG Heuer, and jewellery houses including Roberto Coin and David Yurman. There are also lab-grown diamonds, gifts and bespoke commissions.
Pre-owned
Beyond new stock you can browse pre-owned watches and jewellery, and ex-display watches. Mappin & Webb describes the ex-display pieces as new, fully guaranteed and priced below the recommended retail price.
Delivery
Express delivery runs seven days a week, including Sundays. In-stock items ordered by late evening are normally delivered the next day, though that is not guaranteed and busy periods can add a day. Checkout shows whether express is available for your order. It does not deliver to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or the Republic of Ireland, and some remote postcodes are excluded.
Saving
Check the sale section, and look at the finance options if you would rather spread the cost, as the site offers interest-free credit on selected pieces. Any live code is listed on this page: copy it and enter it at checkout.
Returns
You can cancel within 14 days of delivery and then have a further 14 days to send the item back, unused and in its original packaging with proof of purchase. Engraved, personalised and made-to-order pieces are excluded, and so are earrings once their sealed packaging is opened. Faulty items are covered by your statutory rights.
