Millie's Cookies: what to know before you buy
The story
Millie's Cookies has been baking since it first opened in 1985, and the ovens in its kitchens run all day. It now has shops across the UK, each baking a range from cookie cupcakes to loaded cookies to the hand-iced giant cookies it is known for. The online shop is run by SSP UK, which also handles customer care.
The range
The giant cookie is the star. Choose a heart or round shape, a milk, double or white chocolate base, or a plain one, and the team hand-ices a message of your choosing. Designs are grouped by occasion, from birthdays and thank yous to new babies, new homes and seasonal ranges. There are also pick and mix boxes, loaded cookie boxes and a corporate orders page for business gifts.
Delivery
Millie's delivers to mainland UK only. Cookies are baked fresh and sent out by courier, who texts a delivery slot on the day and offers options if you're out, such as a neighbour, a safe place or a pickup shop. Orders placed before the cut-off on weekdays aim for next-day delivery, subject to availability. Saturday delivery is possible, but there is no Sunday delivery, and busy days can pause new orders.
Saving
The Cookie News newsletter offers new subscribers a discount on a first order. Millie's also links to UNiDAYS for students. Any live code is listed on this page, so copy it and enter it at checkout.
Problems
Because the cookies are fresh and personalised, Millie's asks you to report a problem within a day of delivery, through its contact form with a photo. Refunds are at the discretion of SSP UK, so it helps to be quick.
