Music Magpie: what to know before you buy
What does musicMagpie sell?
musicMagpie sells refurbished tech from brands such as Apple, Samsung, Sony and Microsoft, alongside used CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, games, vinyl and books. Refurbished tech goes through its own quality check before it's listed, and each listing shows a condition grade, so compare the grade, storage and included accessories between similar listings. musicMagpie is a trading name of Entertainment Magpie Limited, based in Stockport.
How can you save at musicMagpie?
Blue Light Card holders get a code for the musicMagpie Store, with a cap on the saving, and need to be logged in to their musicMagpie account to use it. Students verify through Student Beans, with separate offers for buying and for selling. Entertainment often comes in multi-buy deals, and a refer-a-friend scheme rewards both you and the friend. If you're upgrading, our iPhone 18 Pro and Duo guide explains how to weigh a trade-in quote against the price.
What warranty comes with refurbished tech?
Every tech item comes with a free warranty from the order date, covering technical faults but not accidental, screen or liquid damage. You claim by email with your order number, and faulty tech under warranty goes back with free postage. musicMagpie's money back guarantee also lets you cancel an order and send it back, with you paying the return postage.
How does selling to musicMagpie work?
You get an instant valuation online or by scanning barcodes in the free app, send your items in, and get paid by bank transfer on the day they arrive, or donate the value to charity. Phones can also be taken to participating Timpson stores. If your tech doesn't match its description, musicMagpie offers a revised price you can accept or decline, and otherwise sends it back free. Before trading in an iPhone, our guide to switching to an Android phone explains what to move across first.

Otterbox

Carphone Warehouse

Envirofone Shop
Envirofone sells refurbished phones, tablets and laptops that are tested and graded before listing, with a 12-month warranty on handsets. It suits shoppers who want a used device with a clear warranty and returns route rather than a private sale, though accessory and battery cover is shorter.
