Shopping with O2 Freesim

Choosing between a plastic SIM and an eSIM The SIM is available as either a physical plastic card or an eSIM. A plastic SIM is the simpler choice if you plan to move one card between handsets. An eSIM suits a phone that supports it and lets you add the line without waiting for a card to arrive. Check your device manual if you are unsure which SIM size or format fits.

Keeping your existing number If you are moving from another network, ask your current provider for a PAC code and give it to O2, and your number moves across to the new Pay As You Go SIM. If you are switching from an O2 Pay Monthly line to Pay As You Go, you can contact O2 by phone to sort the transfer.

Using a Pay As You Go SIM for travel Roaming is one of the strongest reasons to look at this range. O2 says its Rolling plan can include international minutes to over 42 countries, and that free EU roaming is available up to 25GB within its Europe Zone. Check the current allowance before you travel, as these terms can change.

Topping up and managing your line You add credit through MyO2, or by calling O2. Once topped up, you can use your allowance until it runs out, which keeps spending predictable. If you want a fixed monthly bill with a longer commitment instead, the Pay Monthly SIM range is the alternative to compare against.
