Every tariff compared →OVO Energy doesn't publish its prices in a form I can use, so I can't cost its tariffs. Give me your postcode for the cheapest tariffs I hold for your home and the price cap, then set OVO Energy's quote against them.
Pricing a medium home: Direct Debit, gas and electricity. Ofgem's figures for homes that use less than most (1,600 kWh of electricity, 6,000 kWh of gas), about the middle and more. Your bill or your supplier's app gives a truer answer.
OVO Energy: what to know before you buy
OVO has a variable tariff, Simpler Energy, with no fixed contract and prices reviewed every three months. Its fixed tariffs run for one or two years, and there's a one-year fix bundled with boiler cover.
You can add its Greener Electricity upgrade, which matches your electricity with traceable renewable power, to most tariffs for an extra charge. For EV drivers it has an EV tariff add-on and a monthly charging plan, and Power Move in the OVO app rewards using electricity at greener times.
OVO's prices aren't in my energy comparison, because it doesn't publish them in a form I can use. To see what it would charge for your home, get a quote on its site, then set that figure against the cheapest deals in my comparison for your region.

E (Gas and Electricity) is a British-owned, Birmingham-based energy supplier with more than 300,000 customers, most of them paying as they go. Which? rates it a recommended provider.
E.ON Next
E.ON Next is E.ON's UK household energy supplier, with more than five million customers. E.ON has also bought OVO Energy, which still trades under its own name.
Ecotricity
Ecotricity is a green energy company founded by Dale Vince, which has generated electricity from its own wind and sun parks for 30 years. It puts customers' bills into building new green generation instead of paying dividends.
EnergyCoop
EnergyCoop, formerly Co-op Energy, is the Co-op's household energy brand, supplied and serviced by Octopus Energy. Its electricity is zero carbon, and it sells the only tariff powered by community-owned generation.
Fuse Energy
Fuse Energy is a licensed Great Britain gas and electricity supplier that you sign up to and manage online. It sells to homes and businesses and offers support around the clock.
