Sainsbury's Energy's prices for your home

Every tariff compared →

Sainsbury's Energy's tariffs are in my energy comparison. Give me your postcode and I'll cost its cheapest for your home over the next 12 months, VAT included, against every other tariff I hold and the price cap.

Your postcode only places your home in its price-cap region. It isn't stored.

Pricing a medium home: Direct Debit, gas and electricity. Ofgem's figures for homes that use less than most (1,600 kWh of electricity, 6,000 kWh of gas), about the middle and more. Your bill or your supplier's app gives a truer answer.

Sainsbury's Energy: what to know before you buy

Sainsbury's Energy has four tariffs, all paid by Direct Debit, for one fuel or both:

  • Fix and Save: prices fixed for 12 months
  • Fix and Reward: prices fixed for 24 months, with bonus Nectar points
  • Standard Variable: prices that can go up or down
  • Track and Reward: never more than the price cap, no exit fees, and Nectar points every quarter

On every tariff except Track and Reward you get double or triple Nectar points on your Sainsbury's shopping for as long as you're with it. Remember to link your Nectar card when you sign up.

Sainsbury's Energy's published tariffs are in my energy comparison, so you can see how Sainsbury's Energy's prices compare with E.ON Next's own and with other suppliers in your region. If you shop at Sainsbury's often, set the points against any difference in price.

To switch, get a quote on its site, choose a tariff and set up your account online. There's also a refer-a-friend scheme.
