Specscart
Choosing glasses from a tiny product photo is a gamble. SpecsCart's free UK home trial gives you four frames to compare in your own mirror before ordering prescription lenses. Its range runs from clear acetate and round metal frames to prescription sunglasses, with lens upgrades that make the final basket worth checking as carefully as the frame price.

Start with the fit
SpecsCart sells its own eyewear ranges, including Tom Archer and Marc Fabien. The glasses collection spans acetate, stainless steel and titanium frames, with round, rectangular, cat-eye and rimless styles. Clear prescription lenses are included; optional lens upgrades can change the total.
Compare the frame measurements with a pair that already fits comfortably. A colour you love is little consolation if the bridge slips or the arms pinch. The free home trial is the useful part here: pick up to four frames and compare their shape and fit before choosing your finished pair.
Give the home trial a proper look
The UK trial lasts seven days and comes with a prepaid return label. You can choose fewer than four frames, but four gives you room to compare something familiar with a different shape. Return the trial on time: SpecsCart says it may charge the saved payment card for frames that are not returned within the trial period. Keeping a style means placing an order for your chosen glasses, rather than simply hanging on to the trial box.
Check the lens choice before the discount
Compare complete baskets with the same prescription and lens options. A cheaper frame with extra lens upgrades can cost more than the alternative you first dismissed. Prescription sunglasses and varifocals are different purchases from a basic single-vision pair, so compare the relevant configuration rather than the headline frame price.
If a promotion is available, read its minimum spend, eligible frames and customer restrictions before applying it. Make sure the saving appears in the final total. Buying an extra pair only makes sense if you will actually wear it.
Fast dispatch depends on your lenses
UK shipping is free. SpecsCart lists 24-hour dispatch for stock single-vision lenses with certain coatings, subject to its 4pm UK cutoff and bank-holiday exclusions. Complex prescriptions, varifocals and some specialist lens options are listed at 7–10 working days. Dispatch is when the glasses leave the lab; Royal Mail's delivery aim is not a guaranteed arrival date.
Keep the packaging until you are happy
The returns policy gives 30 days for glasses and 60 days for varifocals. Contact support with your order number before returning anything, and send back the accessories as well as the glasses. Eligible UK returns receive a prepaid label, and the parcel must arrive within 10 working days of that label being issued. Worn or damaged glasses may be refused.
The policy uses both purchase and dispatch dates when describing the return window. Ask support to confirm your deadline if you are close to it, and keep proof of postage.
