Choosing Between Sterling Home's Ranges
The Sterling Home site is organised around furniture and home store products, so it helps to decide early which side of the business suits your purchase. Larger items such as sofas, divan beds and sideboards are handled differently from smaller homewares, particularly when it comes to returns, so it is worth reading the terms for your category before you commit.
Checking Free Delivery Before You Buy
Selected furniture is listed in a dedicated free delivery collection, and the site notes that bundles such as sofa, armchair and footstool sets can qualify. Free delivery is tied to specific products, so check the product page rather than assuming it applies across your basket.
Understanding Cancellations and Returns
Orders are generally not strictly cancellable, but the site says changes or cancellations within 3 days of placing an order may be possible. Online homestore purchases can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the goods, excluding delivery charges. Customers usually pay return costs unless an item is faulty, and furniture collections may carry an uplift charge that can be higher than the original delivery fee.
Protecting Yourself on Mattresses and Faulty Goods
Mattresses and pillows generally cannot be returned once opened, unless they are faulty. If a purchase arrives with a problem, contact customer support, and remember that the Consumer Rights Act gives a right to reject goods that are faulty, unfit or not as described, for up to 30 days from receipt.
