Shopping with Stock Must Go

Choosing the right grade

Every product carries a condition grade, so the first decision is how much cosmetic wear you can live with. A grade describes the device's condition rather than its performance, so read the listing carefully before assuming a higher grade is always worth paying for. If you mostly use a laptop for email, documents and video calls, a lower grade with a clear working record can be a sensible saving.

Laptops and what to check

The laptop range leans heavily on business-class machines from Dell, Lenovo and HP, along with some Apple MacBooks and a Microsoft Surface. Compare the processor, memory and storage on each listing rather than the model name alone, since two machines from the same family can differ a lot. For creative or heavy multitasking work, favour listings with more RAM and an SSD.

Delivery costs and timing

Standard delivery is free on orders over \u00a38.99, and smaller orders pay a flat fee. Next working day delivery needs an order placed before 4pm on a weekday, and Saturday delivery is a separately charged premium option. Highland, island and non-mainland addresses fall under a different rate, so check the cost at checkout if you live outside mainland Britain.

Returns and warranty

The 30-day cooling-off period gives you a full refund if you change your mind, but you pay return postage in that case. A faulty device inside the 12-month warranty is treated differently, and the business covers postage in that situation. When you send an item back, package it safely with all of its original packing so it arrives in good shape.
