tastecard: what to know before you buy

What does a tastecard membership include?

A tastecard membership covers four everyday kinds of spending: dining, coffee, days out and cinema. It also includes pizza delivery offers from selected chains. Members browse the deals in the tastecard app, and the offers available depend on where you live and which partners are taking part.

How does the dining side work?

Dining is the original part of the membership. Participating restaurants, both chains and independents, offer either a two-for-one meal or a percentage off the bill, depending on the venue. Pizza delivery deals sit in their own section of the app. Terms differ by restaurant, so check the offer's conditions before you order.

What do you get on coffee and cinema?

The coffee offer takes money off barista-made drinks at Caffè Nero and a range of independent coffee shops, and each shop can have its own exclusions, such as extra shots or speciality drinks. For cinema, members buy discounted e-codes in the app and enter them at the cinema's own checkout or exchange them at the box office. Which cinema chains take part is listed in the app.

How do days out work?

The days out section lists attractions such as theme parks and aquariums. Members choose an attraction in the app and follow the link to the partner's website to buy discounted tickets. Prices can vary on bank holidays or celebration days, so read the partner's terms before booking.

Is tastecard worth it?

It depends on how often you use the categories you care about. Someone who eats out, buys coffee or goes to the cinema regularly has more chances to use the membership than someone who rarely does. Browsing the deals in the app is free, so you can check what is near you before you join, and membership can be cancelled at any time.

Questions about tastecard

Are there any tastecard discount codes?

We don't currently list a confirmed discount code. That doesn't mean the store has no promotions; check its website for current prices.

Does tastecard only cover restaurants?

No. A membership also includes offers on coffee, days out and cinema, as well as pizza delivery from selected chains.

Do I need a physical card to use tastecard?

No. Members access their deals through the tastecard app, which works as a digital card.

How do I get cinema tickets with tastecard?

Choose a cinema in the app and buy the discounted e-codes there. You then enter them at the cinema's checkout or exchange them at the box office.

Can I use tastecard for days out?

Yes. Pick an attraction in the Days Out section of the app and follow the link to the partner's website to buy tickets. You need a valid membership to redeem the offer.

Can I browse tastecard offers before joining?

Yes. The site says members and visitors can browse the deals for free before choosing a plan.
