Shopping with Verisure
Understanding what you are buying
Verisure sells a monitored alarm system rather than standalone cameras. The equipment includes shock sensors for doors and windows, infrared camera detectors and, for some packages, the ZeroVision smoke barrier. The key difference from a typical DIY camera kit is that alarm signals go to a human-monitored centre, so someone can respond even when you are at work or away.
Choosing between home and business packages
Home and business are separate routes on the site, so compare the features for each before you commit. Monthly monitoring fees vary by package, and the equipment remains Verisure's property, which matters if you ever move or end the contract.
Checking the add-ons
The LockGuard smart lock can be added to the alarm, letting you lock or unlock from your phone. If you already own a video doorbell or camera, consider whether a monitored system with cameras, sensors and a smart lock covers the gaps you care about, rather than buying extra hardware on its own.
Before you sign up
Read the terms for any current installation offer, as promotions apply to standard installation only, are limited to new residential customers and carry geographical restrictions. Ask for the full monthly cost and what happens to the equipment at the end of your contract. If you want to end the service later, the company says its team will guide you through the process.
