The shared inbox, sorted by priority
AI support agents trained on your docs that answer chat, email and WhatsApp, with a shared inbox for handing over to staff
Weav has a free plan. Prices in US dollars as Weav's pricing page showed them on 11 October 2026.
Weav is AI customer support software: an AI agent trained on a business's own website, help docs and files answers website chat, email and WhatsApp messages, with a shared inbox for handing conversations to staff. It suits small online shops and software teams. A free Lite plan allows 20 AI messages a month, paid plans start at $29 a month, and annual billing takes 20% off.
Agents learn from a synced website or help centre, text, files, videos and Q&A pairs, with Google Drive on Pro and Max. Website sources can re-sync automatically, and a playground lets teams test answers before going live.
For each email the agent scores its own draft, then sends it automatically, saves it for a person to review or escalates it, depending on a threshold the team sets. Automatic sending needs the Pro plan.
Plain-language rules such as 'if the customer asks to speak to a human' hand a conversation to a chosen teammate, with separate rules for chat and email. The first matching rule wins, and the conversation history stays with it.
Chat, email and WhatsApp conversations sit in one inbox where AI and staff work the same thread, sorted by priority with saved views, internal notes and suggested replies. Ask Weav gives staff private answers from the knowledge base to drop into replies.
Agents can search a Shopify catalogue, check stock, look up and cancel orders, change shipping addresses or edit items, and in Stripe look up subscriptions and invoices. Order and billing tools ask the customer to verify their identity first.
Each agent has settings for tone of voice, response length, extra context and a list of prohibited phrases it must never use. Several specialised agents can be set up for different jobs.
Reports track conversations, customers helped, response times and team performance, with team and custom reports on Pro and above.
A REST API covers agents, conversations, customers and training data, with webhooks for events. An MCP server lets AI assistants search conversations, reply and update training data in a workspace.

Add-ons: $49 per 1,000 AI credits (roll over), $29 a month per extra teammate or email address, $99 a month per platform to remove branding. Billed through the Shopify App Store it costs $39, $149 and $449 with a 14-day trial. Prices in US dollars, from Weav's pricing page on 11 October 2026. Weav may charge VAT on top, and prices can change.
Weav is worth a look for a small team that answers the same customer questions every day by chat and email and wants an AI agent and a shared inbox in one tool. It is a young product with no published user reviews yet, so it carries more risk than an established helpdesk.
Weav trains an agent on a business's website, help articles, files, videos and question-and-answer pairs, then answers customers in a website chat widget, by email and on WhatsApp. Each email reply gets a confidence score: confident answers can be sent automatically, others are saved as drafts for a person to check, and anything matching an escalation rule (an angry customer, a refund request, a legal threat) goes to a named teammate with the conversation history kept. Actions let the agent do things rather than only answer, such as looking up a Shopify order, changing a shipping address or checking a Stripe subscription, once the customer has verified their email.
Weav launched publicly in March 2026 and reports an average resolution rate of 71% for conversations its AI handles, with some teams at 85% to 90%. These are the company's own figures; no reviews on G2, Capterra, Trustpilot or Product Hunt were found to check them against.
Weav prices in US dollars: Lite is free, Plus is $29 a month, Pro is $119 and Max is $359. The pricing page shows a 20% discount for annual billing but doesn't give the annual figures, and it doesn't mention VAT or pound prices.
The plans differ mainly in AI messages a month (20, 500, 5,000 and 20,000), teammates (1, 2, 3 and 5) and how much training material the agent can hold (100KB up to 50MB). Pro adds automatic sending, automatic retraining, Stripe, Google Drive, the API and webhooks; Max adds image and PDF uploads and far more workflows and actions. Extras cost $49 per 1,000 AI credits (unused credits roll over), $29 a month per extra teammate or support email address, and $99 a month per platform to remove Weav branding.
Shopify merchants who install Weav from the Shopify App Store are billed through Shopify at higher prices: $39, $149 and $449 a month for Plus, Pro and Max, each with a 14-day free trial.
Chatbase is mainly a chatbot builder, while Weav pairs its chatbot with a shared inbox, email handling and escalation to staff, so Weav suits teams that want AI and human support in one place. Chatbase is the more established product, with a much longer track record.
Weav's own comparison pages also set it against Intercom's Fin, Help Scout, Gorgias and Ada, mostly on price: those tools either charge per seat plus a fee per AI resolution or keep prices behind a sales call. Other options include Watermelon, a Dutch AI agent for customer service that is hosted in the EU, and Heyy, which automates customer messaging with AI agents. For a Shopify shop, Gorgias is the most established rival, with hundreds of reviews in the Shopify App Store where Weav has none yet.
Weav's privacy policy says customer conversations aren't used to train third-party AI models, and that its agreement with OpenAI, which generates the replies, doesn't allow training on that data. Data is stored in the United States on Amazon Web Services, with no UK or EU hosting option stated.
The policy sets out rights for users in the UK and EEA, such as access and erasure, and says transfers to the US rely on standard contractual clauses or other approved mechanisms. Data is kept for 90 days after a workspace is cancelled. Shopify order tools and Stripe billing tools only run once the customer has verified their identity. No security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is mentioned, which some UK businesses will need before signing up.
Annual billing takes 20% off any paid plan, and the free Lite plan allows a small test with real customers before paying.
No student, non-profit or startup discount is listed.

The Lite plan is free and includes 20 AI messages a month, one teammate, one custom support email address, 100KB of training data and five AI actions, with the basic inbox and reports. It is enough to test an agent on a small help centre, not to run live support.
Extra AI credits cost $49 per 1,000 and can be added automatically when the balance runs low or bought by hand. Credits that aren't used roll over to the next month.
Yes. Weav's terms say a subscription renews monthly and can be cancelled at any time in the product, once any amounts due are paid. The terms also say fees are non-refundable.
Weav answers customers through a chat widget on a website (with plugins for Shopify and Framer), by email through a custom support address, and on WhatsApp via a WhatsApp Business number. Weav says its agents talk to customers in 8 languages, though its Shopify listing names only English.
Yes. A support address such as help@ on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or another provider is forwarded to Weav, and DNS records are added so replies go out from the business's own domain. Google Workspace group inboxes can also be connected.
