Start with the walk
I would choose the lining before the colour. The Vierzonord has an insulating neoprene lining; the Vierzon uses jersey. If your feet are usually cold on slow winter walks, insulation has a clear job. If they get hot during a brisk walk, a lighter lining is worth trying. Le Chameau also sells shorter boots, leather-lined styles and accessories.
Measure your calf as well as your foot
Use the official size and fit guide for the model you are ordering. Measure with the socks and trousers you intend to wear, then check room through the foot and ankle. An adjustable opening cannot fix a boot that feels wrong elsewhere.
Compare the delivered price
Compare the same model, lining, colour and size when shopping around. The UK delivery page currently lists free standard delivery within five working days. Priority delivery and Channel Islands orders have separate charges and conditions. A small price difference at another retailer may disappear once delivery is included.
Try them indoors first
Le Chameau's direct-order returns policy allows returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery, with items unworn and packaging and labels intact. Boots worn outside count as used. Keep them clean until you are sure about the fit; purchases from another retailer must be returned to that retailer.
