Shopping with Dream Home Store

Choosing between courier and van delivery Smaller items ship through a standard courier service, while larger furniture such as beds, sofas, wardrobes and dining tables comes on the store's own vans. Product pages mark which items are van-delivered, so check before you add to basket. Van delivery lets you pick a date at checkout, and the charge depends on your postcode, so compare the figure at checkout against your own area before committing.

Checking your postcode first The store lists certain postcode areas where van delivery carries no charge, and others where a fixed fee applies. Some postcodes, including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, fall outside the van network entirely. If you live in one of these areas, confirm availability before ordering large furniture.

Reading the return conditions The returns policy gives 30 days from receipt to request a return, and the item must be unused, in its original packaging with tags, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Gift cards cannot be returned. Check any damage promptly: the policy asks for issues to be reported within 48 hours, and damage should be noted on the delivery paperwork before the driver leaves.

Planning around refunds and failed deliveries Refunds go back to the original payment method after the return is inspected and approved, though your bank may take additional time to show the credit. A failed delivery attempt can attract a redelivery charge, so make sure someone can receive large items on the day and that the access route is clear for the van.
