What does Chattr sell, and which network is it on?

Chattr sells SIM-only mobile plans on O2's network. Its FAQ describes Chattr as a reseller of O2 SIM cards, so the coverage is O2's while billing and support come from Chattr, and the same FAQ says O2 can't help Chattr customers with network problems. Chattr is a trading name of Kashcow Ltd, registered at 189 Chapel Street, Salford, and it sells only online. It says its SIMs are 5G-ready (5G also needs a 5G phone) and claims 99% 4G/5G UK coverage. Delivery of the SIM is free, and Chattr says it usually arrives within a few working days. Plans include roaming in what Chattr counts as 43 European destinations, covering the EU plus Switzerland, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man, with a 25GB monthly fair-use limit abroad.

How much do Chattr plans cost?

In October 2026 Chattr listed four plans, each with unlimited UK calls and texts and no commitment beyond a month:

  • Chattr 6GB: £10 a month
  • Chattr 25GB: £11 a month
  • Chattr 50GB: £12 a month
  • Freedom One, unlimited 5G data (fair use applies): £15 a month, falling to £14 after roughly six months and to £13 from month 12

The step from 6GB to 50GB is only £2, so the smallest plan mainly suits light users who'd rather keep the bill at £10. Freedom One's lower prices are a loyalty reward, so it pays most for people who stay. Chattr sets a £5 bill limit on each account to stop charges outside the allowance building up, and extra data comes as bolt-ons bought in the account.

Will Chattr put its prices up?

Chattr advertises "No Price Hikes" on its plan pages, and the Freedom One plan carries the line "No Annual Price Hikes". No price rise was announced on its site when checked in October 2026, and Freedom One's published prices fall with time rather than rise. Because every plan runs month to month, a customer can leave at the end of any month if the price or service stops suiting them.

How do contracts, switching and cancelling work?

Each plan is a one-month rolling plan with no credit check, though the checkout asks the account holder to confirm they're over 18, so a parent orders a child's SIM. Payment is taken at the order, and the next one falls due a month and three days later to allow for delivery and activation. Moving up to a bigger plan takes effect straight away, with the difference charged pro rata at the next payment, while moving down needs 30 days' notice.

Keeping an existing number means entering a PAC code during activation, since it can't be added afterwards, and Chattr aims to move the number within one working day. Chattr's terms allow cancellation within 14 days of activation for a refund, less the days used. After that, turning off auto-renew in the account lets the plan end after the current month, and the FAQ also takes cancellations by email to hello@chattr.co.uk. Anyone moving to another network asks Chattr for a PAC by email before cancelling, because it can't issue one once the service has ended.

What do customers say about Chattr?

There isn't much independent feedback yet. Chattr calls itself a new company, and its Trustpilot page had only 10 reviews in October 2026, for a score of 2.8 out of 5. The positive reviews mention easy sign-up, a first-month discount and roaming in Spain without a bolt-on. Four one-star reviews from June and July 2026 describe unanswered emails and a SIM that didn't arrive; Chattr replied that response times had improved. Support runs through email, WhatsApp and a web form, and its contact page doesn't list a phone line.

How can you pay less with Chattr?

The codes on this page usually cut the first month's price. Chattr's discount code policy says codes apply to the first month only unless an offer says otherwise, allows one code per order and returns the plan to its standard price afterwards; promo codes go in at the second step of the checkout. Beyond the first month the saving is in choosing the right plan: Freedom One gets £2 a month cheaper after a year, and the fixed-data plans sit just £1 apart. Chattr also says its customers get O2 Priority, which it describes as priority tickets to events, prize draws and high-street discounts.
