Check fitment by manufacturer and model

The site lets you browse by make, such as Honda, Lexus, Nissan, Subaru or Toyota, then by model and variant. Engine size and generation matter for parts like exhaust manifolds and downpipes, so use the variant filter rather than the model name alone. If you are unsure, the site's FAQ says you can contact the team before ordering to confirm compatibility for your vehicle.

Choose between exhaust and engine-side parts

A cat back exhaust replaces the system from the catalytic converter backwards, while a decat downpipe or exhaust manifold works closer to the engine. Decat parts remove the catalytic converter, so check whether that affects your MOT or local regulations before fitting. Exhaust manifolds such as 4-2-1 designs are usually chosen for power-focused builds rather than daily road use.

Consider fitting and warranty before buying

Japspeed states that parts must be installed by a qualified mechanic at a registered garage, and that failing to do so can invalidate warranty and returns cover. The FAQ also notes that fitting aftermarket parts may affect a manufacturer warranty, so check with your dealer if your car is still covered. Budget for fitting labour, which Japspeed does not cover.

Plan delivery and returns around your build

The site states that its prices include VAT and delivery within the UK mainland, and that it aims to dispatch orders within three working days. Returns are covered by a 14-day cancellation window after delivery, and goods must be unused and in original packaging. Large items such as exhausts are shipped by specialist couriers, so allow for longer lead times on bulky parts.
