Shopping with CV Villas

Choosing the right villa

Start with the destination rather than the property. Each region has a different pace, from the Greek islands and Italian coast to the Caribbean. Filter by the number of bedrooms and guests, then check whether the villa is staffed, since the site notes that some properties include a cook service, which changes how much you will spend on food and time in the kitchen.

Checking changeover days

Changeover days matter when you plan flights. The FAQs list Saturday as the usual changeover in much of Italy, Spain, Portugal and France, with Monday typical in Turkey and Sunday in parts of Greece. Many destinations have flexible days, so confirm the exact day on the individual villa page before you commit to dates.

Planning payments

The deposit starts from 25% and varies by owner, and the full balance is due nine weeks before departure. Build that timing into your budget. If you book a package with CV Villas, the holiday is ATOL protected, which is worth knowing when you compare it with booking the villa alone.

Preparing your travel documents

For European trips, check that your passport is under ten years old and valid for at least three months after your return, and confirm that children each have their own passport. Allow extra time for the new EU Entry/Exit System, which replaces passport stamping and will add queuing at border control. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
