Hoseasons

Hoseasons is a long-running UK self-catering specialist, founded in 1944, with lodges, holiday parks, cottages and boat holidays across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is useful for comparing hot tub lodges and dog-friendly breaks in one place. Hoseasons: what to know before you buy

Where Hoseasons fits best

Hoseasons brings together holiday parks, lodges, cottages and boat holidays across Britain, so it suits people who want to compare very different UK breaks in one search. Its collections, such as hot tub breaks and dog-friendly holidays, make it easier to filter for what matters to your group. Because the stock is wide, it is worth testing several arrival dates, since prices shift with the calendar.

Deposits and the balance

The standard deposit is usually a share of the booking cost, and some properties offer a low-deposit option where you pay a smaller amount upfront. If you cancel before the balance is due, you will owe the difference between the low and standard deposit. The due date is not the same for every booking, so check the exact date on your booking summary before you confirm and again in My Account afterwards.

Changing or cancelling

Date changes can be made online up to 10 weeks before departure, but an amendment fee applies, along with any difference in the holiday price. Cancelling online shows you the charge first, so you can see the cost before committing. If your balance is unpaid and you are more than 10 weeks out, changing dates may be a cheaper route than cancelling.

Pets and what to check

Only dogs are accepted, and the paw symbol on each property tells you whether they are allowed. "Pets go free" means no extra charge, while "Pets allowed" can mean a fee per dog that is added to your total when you enter the number of dogs in your search. Some parts of a park may still be off limits to pets, so read the property details before you book.

Questions about Hoseasons

Are there any Hoseasons discount codes?

We don't currently list a confirmed discount code. That doesn't mean the store has no promotions; check its website for current prices.

Can I take my dog on a Hoseasons break?

Only dogs are accepted, and the paw symbol shows whether a property allows them. Pets go free at some places, while others charge a fee per dog that is added to your total when you enter your dogs in the search.

Can I change my dates after booking?

Yes, online, until a cut-off before departure set in Hoseasons' terms. An amendment fee applies, plus any difference in the holiday price, so check the cost before you change.

Does Hoseasons price match?

Yes. Hoseasons matches the price of like-for-like accommodation for the same dates, place and number of guests, if you send proof of the other price within the time its terms set.

Does Hoseasons have an NHS discount?

NHS staff can book Hoseasons through Health Service Discounts. Hoseasons says a code from a discount provider has to be booked through that provider's site.

Can I pay for a Hoseasons break in instalments?

Yes. You pay a deposit when you book, can make part payments in My Account, and pay the balance before you travel.

Who handles my order?

You complete your purchase with the retailer. For order changes, delivery questions or a refund, contact the seller shown on your order confirmation. Vouchernaut publishes shopping guides and offers; we don't process your purchase.

Shoppers' questions

Questions about Hoseasons, answered by us and by readers who've shopped there.

  1. Does Hoseasons have holidays in Northern Ireland?

    Our answer

Yes. Hoseasons lists holiday parks and lodges in Northern Ireland, and its Northern Ireland page points to the north east, around the Giant's Causeway, the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Portrush. Its destinations menu lists four countries: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

  2. Does Hoseasons have an app?

    Our answer

Yes. The Hoseasons app is free on the App Store for iPhone and is also on Google Play. Hoseasons says it lets you search and book lodges, holiday parks, boats and cottages, save and compare favourites, manage bookings, view check-in details, contact the support team and share shortlists or booking details.

  3. What is Hoseasons' cancellation policy?

    Our answer

Hoseasons charges by how many days before arrival it gets your notice, with separate tables for lodges and parks, cottages and boats. Cancelling early, from 43 to 85 or more days out depending on the booking, costs the full standard deposit, which is non-refundable. After that the charge is a share of the total accommodation cost, rising to 95% within 7 days for lodges, parks and boats, and 100% within 42 days for cottages. Booking and handling fees aren't refunded, nor is cutting a stay short. Lodges and parks sell Enhanced Cancellation Terms, refunding cancellations for qualifying reasons such as certified illness, less a £60 charge and other fees.

  4. Does Hoseasons do an NHS or Blue Light Card discount?

    Our answer

Yes. NHS and healthcare staff can get a discount on new Hoseasons accommodation bookings through Health Service Discounts, a free scheme; the saving depends on arrival date and the booking must be made online through its link. Blue Light Card members, including NHS staff, teachers, emergency services, armed forces, police, social care workers and eligible retirees, get member pricing on selected Hoseasons holidays, applied automatically when they click through, for online bookings only. Blue Light Card membership costs £4.99 for two years. Hoseasons says a provider's discount must be booked through that provider's website and can't be added after booking.
