Am I being tight? Is it worth it?
One money question a day, from our desk or from a reader. One tap gives your verdict and shows how everyone else voted, and members can reply with why. A week later we call it.

How verdicts work
- A new question opens at 7am UK time: either "Am I being tight?", about what's fair to spend, or "Is it worth it?", about a membership, subscription or big buy.
- One tap counts your vote, with no account. You see the split once you've voted.
- Members can reply with why. Replies follow our house rules, and we check them.
- After a week the vote closes. We pick the most helpful replies and add our own closing line, and with 20 votes or more the split becomes readers' verdict.
Send us your dilemma
Torn over what's fair to chip in, or whether a membership pays for itself? Tell us in up to 120 words. Our editors read every one. If we use yours, we'll edit it a little, leave your name off and email you when it opens. Questions about debt, benefits, health or a child's safety are better asked of MoneyHelper or Citizens Advice.
