Before you buy

Shopping with Parcel ABC UK

Check what you can send The site says you can send most things, but excludes high-value items such as jewellery, precious metals, documents, money and certain perishable goods. Tobacco, alcohol and restricted materials are also out. If you are unsure, check the rules of the chosen courier before paying.

Measure accurately before you quote The price depends on weight, size and route, and the site applies a volumetric weight calculation for each parcel. Weigh the parcel on bathroom scales by subtracting your own weight from your weight holding the parcel. Non-standard shapes may attract extra charges, so an accurate measurement avoids a surprise at collection.

Understand the insurance limits Each parcel is covered for up to 25 EUR free of charge, according to the site. If the contents are worth more than that, the platform offers additional cover options during checkout. Compare the declared value with the included cover before you book.

Prepare for collection Use a firm box, avoid overloading it and pack fragile items separately. Labels are emailed after payment and should be printed and attached before the courier arrives. Couriers may refuse parcels that are poorly packed or missing labels.
