Before you buy

Shopping with Audible

Choosing between Standard and Premium The main decision is how many titles you want each month. Standard lets you select one audiobook a month from the full collection, and you can listen to your selections for as long as you remain a member. Premium gives you a monthly credit to buy any title you like, and that title is yours to keep even if you cancel. If you want more choice and listen heavily, Premium is the stronger fit.

Understanding what you keep Audiobooks bought with cash or credits stay in your library after you cancel. Titles from the Plus Catalogue and any Standard selections are different, and you lose access to these once your membership ends. If you want a permanent collection, buying titles outright or using credits is the safer route.

Using credits and missed months Premium credits roll over from month to month until they expire or your membership is cancelled, so unused credits are not lost straight away. Standard selections do not roll over, so a month without a selection is a month of allowance gone. Check how many credits you have banked before deciding whether to add more.

Making the most of the free trial Both plans include a 30-day free period for new members, and during this time you get the same benefits as a paying member. Once the trial ends, a monthly subscription fee applies, so note your start date and check when renewal falls. You can cancel monthly, which keeps the commitment short.
