Before you buy

Shopping with Hearst Magazines UK Ltd

Choosing between a subscription and a single issue

If you read a title regularly, a subscription is the main purchase here, and the store lists print subscriptions, digital subscriptions and memberships. Prices and offers vary by title, so check the terms on each product page before buying, as free gifts are subject to the conditions listed for them.

Working out when your copy should arrive

The delivery dates page gives expected on-sale dates for each title's issues, which helps you judge when your copy should land. Hearst notes that postal delays or weather can hold things up, and asks you to allow an extra three days before contacting customer service. For specials, bookazines and single issues, the store says delivery can take five to seven working days.

Buying a magazine as a gift

With a gift subscription, the free gift goes to the person who made the purchase, so you can decide whether to pass it on. The FAQ says gifts can take up to 30 days to arrive. Digital subscriptions need the confirmation email forwarded to the recipient so they can activate them, and an e-card option is available if you want to notify them yourself.

Beauty boxes and Prima patterns

The limited-edition beauty and grooming boxes are curated by Hearst's beauty teams and are currently only available in the UK. If you subscribe to Prima, you can opt in to receive its pattern with each issue, or buy current and previous patterns separately from the store.
