What it is good for
PLT is a trend-chasing, going-out-and-weekend retailer. Dresses, co-ords, bodysuits, denim, activewear and occasionwear are the core, and there is a beauty section and other labels sold alongside its own range, including Boohoo, Wallis, Oasis and Karen Millen. Fit ranges are a genuine plus: the brand sorts stock into Plus, Petite, Tall and Shape, plus maternity. It repositioned in 2025 towards a more polished, longer-lasting look, but price-wise it is still very much the cheap and fast end of the market.
Delivery: fast, but not free
There is no free-delivery threshold that I could find. Standard is £3.99 and usually lands within 4 working days (Monday to Saturday). Express is £4.99 for 2 working days. Next day is £5.99, and for PLT-supplied items you can order as late as midnight, which is the main reason people use it. Evri ParcelShop and locker collection exist too; you get 10 days to pick up from a ParcelShop and only 3 from a locker, and you need photo ID. An InPost locker option is £2.49. Heavy and bulky items add £4.99.
The small print that trips people up: other brands sold on the site (Boohoo, Wallis, Oasis and so on) have an 8pm next-day cut-off, concession brands are excluded from next day altogether, and one basket can arrive in several parcels from different sellers. You also cannot cancel or edit an order once it is placed, because the warehouse picks it almost immediately.
PLT Royalty, and whether it pays off
Royalty is the paid delivery pass: unlimited next day delivery, free standard and express delivery and no fee on returns, for a year. The delivery page lists it at £9.99, though the older FAQ page still shows other figures, so read the price at checkout. The returns page says Royalty members get one free return per order, so it is not a blanket waiver. If you order a few times a year it works out cheaper than paying delivery each time. If you buy once or twice, skip it.
Returns, the real cost
The return fee is £1.99 per parcel, taken from your refund, when you use the portal. Items have to be unworn, unwashed and still tagged. As of 8 May 2026 you must tell PLT you are returning something within 21 days of receiving the order; earlier purchases keep the old 28 days. There is no exchange service, so you return and reorder.
You can take a gift card refund instead of cash and the brand adds a bonus on top, but its pages quote different bonus amounts, and the card lasts only 90 days. Think of it as a spending nudge. Items from concession brands go back to those brands, with a single £1.99 fee. Swimwear, lingerie, pierced jewellery and cosmetics cannot be returned once the hygiene seal is broken.
Paying and getting help
Cards, PayPal, Klarna and Clearpay are accepted. Clearpay is four instalments two weeks apart, 18 and over, UK residents, with a £6 late fee. There is no phone line: contact is through Apple Messages and Facebook Messenger. There is a mobile app, a Refer a Friend page and a Student Beans student discount linked in the footer.
