Shopping with Utility Warehouse

UW sells four kinds of energy tariff:

  • Fixed: rates locked for up to 12 months, with exit fees, and a smart meter is needed
  • Tracker: reviewed quarterly and kept below the price cap, with no exit fees
  • Variable: moves with the price cap, with no exit fees
  • EV: cheaper electricity overnight, for homes with a smart meter in credit mode and an eligible electric car

The tracker discount and the EV rate both improve when you add UW's broadband, mobile or insurance, and the cheaper variable rate needs at least one other service.

Utility Warehouse's prices aren't in my energy comparison, because it doesn't publish them in a form I can use. To see what it would charge for your home, get a quote on its site, then set that figure against the cheapest deals in my comparison for your region. Because its price depends on how many services you take, quote for the bundle you'd actually have.

To switch, get a quote online, or speak to one of UW's Partners, its UK-wide network of local sellers.
