In A Quiet Night In, Mrs Large plans a peaceful birthday celebration for Mr Large, only for the children to turn the evening delightfully upside down. A Piece of Cake follows the family's wobbly attempt at a healthier diet, proving that resisting cake and taking exercise is much harder than it sounds for four hungry youngsters. In Mr Large In Charge, Dad takes the reins while Mum is unwell, and his good intentions quickly spiral into good-natured domestic disorder. Five Minutes' Peace, perhaps the most loved title in the series, sees Mrs Large attempt a solitary soak in the bath, interrupted one by one by her determined children. Finally, All in One Piece follows the frantic scramble to get the whole family dressed and out of the door for a dinner-dance, with predictably hilarious results. Together, these five stories offer a joyful, honest portrait of parenting and childhood, told with warmth and wit, building a rich, familiar world that young readers return to again and again.. Five complete picture books in one great-value paperback set. Warm, funny stories that mirror real family life and spark conversation. Expressive illustrations that support early reading and repeated enjoyment
