About the event
From See Tickets's listing
SHAKATAK - the UK's coolest band - THEIR GREATEST HITS AND COOL TRACKS SHOW."This music still glows as brightly as that first hearing...Shakatak aren't just a band, they were the soundtrack to our lives" RONNIE SCOTT'S House Magazine (UK)"A wild diversity seldom found anymore... tons of rhythmic and stylistic variety...slamming" JAZZIZ Magazine (USA) Shakatak have enjoyed a level of success and career longevity rarely paralleled in contemporary music but then Shakatak is a particularly unusual group. Because of the nature of their music their fan base is one that is far reaching while always retaining an "underground" element. This paradox sees the band, who are known primarily as serious jazz/funk musicians, enjoying both high "cult" status and instant recognition as a household name due to their numerous hit recordings. In the past 6 years the band have performed concert dates in the UK, Mexico, Germany, Holland, Azerbaijan, Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Slovakia plus club dates at the prestigious Billboard, Blue Note & Cotton Clubs in Japan. In December 2011 Shakatak headlined at the Penang Island Jazz Festival and played a concert date in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Their brand new release is "In The Blue Zone" which features guest appearances by the UK's top jazz singer Liane Carroll and Germany's super-star trumpeter Till Bronner.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Canterbury: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
