About the event
From See Tickets's listing
PAUL JONES & DAVE KELLY The Blues Band are now retired from touring - but their two lead vocalists have continued with their rootsy and atmospheric Acoustic Duo concerts Ruggedly durable and timeless, the Blues is perhaps more popular today than it has ever been. Young musicians still cut their teeth on its enticing, 12-bar appeal, but its real rewards, true virtuosity, poise and knowledge, only come with age. Founder members of The Blues Band, Paul Jones and Dave Kelly's tangled and colourful roots go way back into the true undergrowth of the tradition. As well as their own original material, they not only know and perform the work of the greats, ranging from Howling' Wolf, John Lee Hooker through to Sonny Boy Williamson - they actually played alongside them, and enjoyed their friendship. After over a quarter century as presenter of his BBC Radio 2 R&B show, as a thrilling singer and harmonica maestro, what Paul Jones doesn't know about the Blues can be written on a pinhead. The same can be said about Europe's leading bluesman, Dave Kelly. He's played with them all, including legends such as James Burton and Buddy Guy. Superb blues vocals combined with guitar virtuosity have elevated Dave Kelly into the higher echelon of international blues performers, where he truly belongs. A live acoustic set by this dynamic duo is an occasion you'll remember. If you're a true Blues fan, everything you need is here.

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Exeter: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
