About the show

From Theatre Tickets Direct's listing

Set against the majesty of the Serengeti Plains and to the evocative rhythms of Africa, Disney's multi award-winning musical THE LION KING will redefine your families expectations of theatre. Now in its record-breaking 27th year in London, now is the time for your family to experience this landmark musical.

Disney's beloved film has been transformed into a spectacular theatrical experience that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands.

What is in The Lion King?

Based on the super hit Disney animated film of the same name, the plot revolves around the journey of Simba from being a curious and adventurous cub to a roaring Lion fighting for his rightful throne in the Pridelands His challenge to counter his inner self worthlessness and struggle to take back his position of a true king from his wicked uncle Mufasa has been portrayed fabulously. Julie Taymor directs and recreates the musical in an absolutely sparkling way on stage which stuns the audience of every age.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Theatre Tickets Direct and Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in London: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
