About the event
From See Tickets's listing
"A beguiling set of pipes - a whiff of Whitney here, a scoop of Chaka there"The Boston Globe Hil St Soul comes to Boisdale with original British soul, neo-soul warmth and a catalogue that has travelled well beyond the UK circuit. Led by Zambia-born, London-raised singer-songwriter Hilary Mwelwa, this is soul with roots in Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye, but shaped by London R&B, jazz-soul and the smooth US soul sound that embraced her early. Her debut album Soul Organic marked her out as one of the strongest UK soul voices of her generation, earning Best Newcomer recognition from Blues & Soul. She went on to appear on Later... with Jools Holland, share stages with James Brown, D'Angelo and Macy Gray, and find US radio success with her version of "For the Love of You". The live set draws from a catalogue that includes "Until You Come Back to Me", "For the Love of You", "Pieces", "Strictly a Vibe Thing" and newer material from Back in Love and Nasalifya (Thank You). Expect warm keys, a rhythm section that sits in the pocket, close backing vocals and Hilary's lead vocal right where it should be: relaxed, soulful and never overworked. At Boisdale of Canary Wharf, this is a strong fit for the room: grown-up UK soul, neo-soul detail, jazz-soul colour and songs that reward close listening as much as they reward a good groove.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in London: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
