About the event

From See Tickets's listing

As befitting a band all-but born on the road, MOULD’s forte is wresting meaning from the clutches of chaos. Reflecting the unsettling impermanence of the late millennial experience, the Bristol/London-based trio’s new EP, Almost Feels Like Purpose, explores what it’s like to feel adrift in the world, pairing paranoid reflections with fidgety post-punk that’s prone to sudden melodic shifts and rhythmic about turns. They are – as singer/guitarist Joe Sherrin puts it on ‘Temps’ – “as unsettled in our skin as we are our locations,” and, honestly, it’s a thrill to witness. Anchoring it all is the sort of easy creative chemistry that can only come with familiarity. Sherrin and drummer James Luxton have been collaborating for over a decade, having first played together in slacker indie outfit Let’s Kill Janice. Multi-instrumentalist Kane Eagle became involved three years later, contributing bass alongside Luxton’s drums to Sherrin’s Guided By Voices-esque solo project Slonk, before the three joined forces again as part of alt-folkie Fenne Lily’s backing band. They cemented their seamless musicianship over five years of on-and-off touring with Fenne, accompanying her on dates across US and Europe. Outside of these commitments, the trio explored other projects individually – from the gara…

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Manchester: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
